⚠️ IMPORTANT NDIS CHANGE

Changes to how Plan Reassessments and Plan Variations are requested are concerning for many participants.

Support Coordinators have been crucial in helping people understand their NDIS plans, identify funding gaps, gather evidence and navigate applications for additional supports and Assistive Technology.

For participants with communication, cognitive, intellectual or complex disability, greater responsibility for navigating these processes may create another accessibility barrier.

💙 Choice and control must come with accessible information and meaningful support.

This is one of many NDIS changes ahead, and Deaf Plus Australia will continue helping our community understand what is changing and what to do next.

The first annual report for the National Carer Strategy 2024–2034 is out now.

The report gives a snapshot of work underway to better support carers across Australia.

It shows progress to:
✅ improve access to mental health support, respite and peer support
✅ identify culturally safe training to better support carers in their role.
