Let's keep it real simple: Tendinitis is a load management problem. That's all. Manage your load, manage the pain, manage the recovery.
Here's your tendinitis cheat sheet:
- Blood flow. Tendons love it. They get bu**er all of it. Bring blood to the area so your tendons love you again.
Train like a body builder. Get da PUMP.
- Manage your load. Lower the weight and speed dummy. Increase rest time, reps, days till you train the same body part, tempo and holds.
- If its 3/10 or Lower on the pain scale (be honest, not a hero), it's generally fine. We need movement to get blood flow, don't be scared of it.
- Don't come in and tell me "but I rested for 2 weeks then did the same thing that caused it. Why is it still sore"? 😉
- Rehab doesn't stop the second you are pain free.
If you do this properly, you should be able to tell me where rehab stopped and training began because remember, its LOAD MANAGEMENT.
It is most definitely NOT 2 weeks light then max out every day.
You're better than that. 🤙
