The Body Talk Therapist

The Body Talk Therapist Yoga is meant for everyone and every body. In order to make this a reality it has been her dream to open a Yoga Clinic!

At The Body Talk Therapist, we believe the body is more than just a vessel – it’s a storyteller, carrying the echoes of past experiences and emotions, while also holding profound wisdom. True healing begins by listening closely to the subtle language of your body, interpreting its signals, and guiding you on a journey of deep transformation and self-discovery. The whole human walks into your room.

Pain, stress, trauma, self- awareness, we were trained to treat them in separate boxes, but the nervous system never got the memo. You can’t treat the mind and leave the body waiting outside. More and more of us are arriving at the same conclusion: to help people heal, we have to join the dots.

Yoga Psychology & the Neuroscience of Pain & Stress is a 20-hour live training that bridges eastern and western psychology, giving you evidence-based, trauma-sensitive tools to bring the body and nervous system into your clinical work with anxiety, depression, chronic pain and stress-related conditions.

🗓 19–20 September 2026, 9:30am–5:00pm AWST
💻 Live online via Zoom
🎓 20 CPD points · Yoga Alliance accredited
💛 A$595 (payment plans available)

Full details and booking are on my website - link in bio.

Know a colleague, a therapist, GP, nurse, psychologist who thinks this way too? Please share or tag them. Every share helps it find the people it’s for. 🙏

We don’t just practice yoga as a toolbox of strategies for hard moments.

We practice so that balance becomes your body holds on its own, becomes hard wired.
Below thought, beneath effort. So that when life is challenging, your nervous system already knows how to respond adaptively.

That’s not a technique you reach for, or a behaviour you learn to adopt.

That’s the real work, not managing yourself, but feeling at home within yourself.

You hold space all day. But what holds you?

Your practice was never only the yoga shapes, but also meeting your own parts, on and off the mat, so what you carry stays yours.

The work begins with you.

The person on your mat is never just their body.

Someone comes in for tight hips and leaves having brushed up against grief.

A student’s breath won’t settle and it turns out neither will their week.

We can’t separate the shape from the mind, the mind from pain, or pain from the slow work of becoming who we are.

It’s all one thread now. And our students feel the difference when we can hold the whole human, not just the shape.

That’s what this training is for. Yoga Psychology & the Neuroscience of Pain & Stress - a 20-hour live course blending traditional yoga psychology with modern neuroscience, so you can teach with more depth, safety and confidence.

Pain and stress don't only live in the mind, they live in the nervous system.

This September I'm running a 20-hour live training: Yoga Psychology & the Neuroscience of Pain & Stress-Related Disorders where the ancient wisdom of yoga meets modern neuroscience.

Over two immersive days we'll explore how body, breath, mind and energy work together, and how trauma-sensitive, evidence-based yoga can support the nervous system through anxiety, depression, chronic pain and stress-related conditions.

This is for you if you're a yoga teacher, therapist, teacher, nurse, first responder, wellbeing professional - or simply someone drawn to understanding the mind-body connection more deeply.

There is something profoundly different about learning to work with trauma through the body.

For over 20 years, Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) has been at the forefront of body-based trauma treatment. It is the original yoga for trauma, developed through rigorous research and clinical practice, and is now recognised as being as effective as cognitive-based therapies in reducing trauma symptoms, with around 60% of participants showing significant improvements in emotional regulation.

This August, I'll be facilitating online the next TCTSY training, and there are still a few places available.

If you've been considering deepening your understanding of trauma, embodiment, choice-making, interoception, and relational healing or if you've previously completed one of our Yoga for Embodiment & Healing modules and have been thinking about returning I'd love to welcome you into this learning community.

This training is suitable for therapists, yoga teachers, health professionals, educators, and anyone interested in the transformative potential of embodied trauma healing.

✨ International certification through the Center for Trauma and Embodiment (CFTE)
✨ The original, evidence-based yoga for trauma
✨ Over 20 years of ongoing research and clinical application
✨ A deeply experiential, compassionate, and relational learning environment

If you've been waiting for the right time, perhaps this is your invitation.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions or booking details in post.

You can’t pour from an empty vessel.

I know - I’ve heard it too. But I mean it literally.

I work with high-achieving women on sustainable performance. And right now I’m in Sri Lanka doing exactly what I teach, stopping long enough to actually restore.

Not a holiday. A recalibration.

Day one and I can already feel the difference between resting and actually landing. Between catching your breath and genuinely recovering.

I’ll be sharing a little of what this week is opening up. Because I think we need more honest conversations about what it really takes to perform well, not just for a season, but for the long term.

What does restoration look like for you?
