The Body Talk Therapist

The Body Talk Therapist Yoga is meant for everyone and every body. In order to make this a reality it has been her dream to open a Yoga Clinic!

At The Body Talk Therapist, we believe the body is more than just a vessel – it’s a storyteller, carrying the echoes of past experiences and emotions, while also holding profound wisdom. True healing begins by listening closely to the subtle language of your body, interpreting its signals, and guiding you on a journey of deep transformation and self-discovery. You can’t pour from an empty vessel.

I know - I’ve heard it too. But I mean it literally.

I work with high-achieving women on sustainable performance. And right now I’m in Sri Lanka doing exactly what I teach, stopping long enough to actually restore.

Not a holiday. A recalibration.

Day one and I can already feel the difference between resting and actually landing. Between catching your breath and genuinely recovering.

I’ll be sharing a little of what this week is opening up. Because I think we need more honest conversations about what it really takes to perform well, not just for a season, but for the long term.

What does restoration look like for you?

To everyone who joined us for the Yoga for Embodiment and Healing webinar - thank you. Thank you for showing up. For bringing your questions. For sitting with the material and letting it land.

The conversations in that room reminded me exactly why I do this work.

We talked about what happens when talk therapy reaches its edge. About the nervous system, how it holds what the mind can’t process. About what it actually means to create a space where someone feels safe enough to change. And we talked about what it looks like to care for yourself inside this work, not as an afterthought, but as the foundation.

If you were there, I hope you left with something useful. If you missed it - the recording is available now. Register via the link in my bio and I’ll send it straight to you.

And if yesterday confirmed what you’ve been quietly sensing - that you’re ready to go deeper - the full 100-hour Yoga for Embodiment and Healing training is open. Five modules. Online and in-person. A$2,650 with payment plans available. The link in my bio has everything you need. I’d love to continue this with you. 🤍

This is what Kylie Gillin, yoga teacher, nutritionist and founder of EvenFlow said after completing Yoga for Embodiment and Healing.

And honestly? It’s what I hear most often from graduates.

Not just that the training was good. But that they can’t imagine doing the work without it now.

The language shifts. The way they hold space shifts. The way they understand what’s happening in the room shifts.

This is what 100 hours of nervous-system informed, trauma-sensitive, evidence-based practice actually does. Not just for your clients. For you.

I’m hosting a free live webinar on 6 June where I’ll walk through the foundations — and open the floor for real questions.

The Illuminate Program is for the woman who seems to have it all together but feels like she’s drowning underneath.

You’re successful maybe by every external measure. Beautiful home, career achievements, social life that looks perfect on paper.

But inside? You feel disconnected, overwhelmed, and exhausted by the effort it takes to keep all the balls in the air.

You’ve tried traditional therapy. You’ve read the books. You’ve practiced gratitude and meditation.

Still, something feels missing.
That something is the connection between your brilliant mind and your wise body.
Illuminate bridges that gap. We don’t just talk about healing - we embody it.

Through integrated somatic and cognitive approaches, you’ll learn to:

💫Trust your body’s wisdom
💫Regulate your nervous system
💫Connect with your authentic self
💫Create sustainable well-being from the inside out

This isn’t another quick fix or surface solution. This is deep, lasting transformation for women ready to do the work.

Here’s what’s inside Yoga for Embodiment and Healing — the 100-hour professional certification I’ve been building toward for most of my career.

Five modules. Each one 20 hours. Each one building on the last.

01 — The Use of Self, Vicarious Trauma & Self-Care We start here because you can’t pour from an empty cup.

02 — Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) The world’s only empirically validated yoga-based intervention for complex trauma. Certification of Foundational Training (20 hours) from The Center for Embodiment & Healing

03 — Yoga for Anxiety & Depression The neurobiology behind the patterns your clients are living in — and practical tools that actually reach them.

04 — Yoga Psychology & the Neuroscience of Pain Where ancient wisdom meets modern science.

05 — Trauma-Sensitive Yin for the Nervous System For the quieter, deeper moments where so much of the real work happens.

“Why does corporate wellness still leave me burnt out?”

Because most wellness support is still generic.
And your nervous system is not generic.

The women I work with are intelligent, capable, high-performing professionals who have spent years overriding exhaustion signals.

Eventually the symptoms become impossible to ignore:

• waking at 2-4am
• emotional flatness
• cognitive fatigue
• sensory overwhelm
• poor recovery after work
• brain fog during meetings
• feeling constantly “on”

Illuminate was created for women who want a slower, more intelligent approach to wellbeing.
Inside the 16-week program, we focus on understanding your patterns, regulating your nervous system, improving sleep recovery, supporting cognitive wellbeing, and rebuilding sustainable energy without extremes.

This is not another pressure-filled optimisation program.

It is recovery-focused support designed for real nervous systems living inside demanding lives.

Early in my career I had a client who understood her trauma completely.

She could name it, trace it back, connect it to every pattern in her present life. She was articulate, emotionally intelligent, deeply self-aware.

And she wasn’t getting better.

That moment stayed with me for years. It was the beginning of a question I couldn’t stop asking: if insight isn’t enough, what is?

The answer led me into the body. Into the nervous system. Into the growing body of research that was quietly rewriting what we thought we knew about healing.

It led me to train with Dr Bessel van der Kolk. To travel to Massachusetts to train directly with the original creators of Trauma-Sensitive Yoga. To spend years learning how to hold space in a way that reached people, not just their minds.

And eventually it led me to create Yoga for Embodiment and Healing — a 100-hour training for practitioners who are asking the same question I was asking.

I’ll share more about what’s in it this week. Stay close. 🤍

This might challenge the way we currently think about workplace wellness.
Most corporate wellbeing strategies are still built around individual responsibility.
Meditate more.
Exercise more.
Be more resilient.
But many women are already trying incredibly hard to cope with environments that keep their nervous systems in a chronic stress response.
The future of workplace wellness is far more nuanced.
It includes:
• nervous system regulation
• menopause-aware support
• cognitive recovery
• social connection
• sustainable performance
• recovery-based work culture
This is the work I care deeply about as a workplace wellness strategist.

— Why insight alone often doesn’t create lasting change
— How nervous system and embodiment approaches shift outcomes
— Practical tools you can bring into your work this week
— How to care for yourself sustainably in this work
