Jill is an elderly lady who has been through a lot.
Grief after grief, some of it has never been allowed to be expressed.
When I saw her, I asked, “What is weighing heavy on your heart right now?”
She had recently lost a son, and for a whole lot of reasons we won’t go into, she was not able to go to his funeral.
I selected some points on her body that assist with deep emotional hurt, and held a light touch. After a few repetitions on both sides, I added the EMMETT a rescue/recovery sequence and watched as she calmed and brightened.
I asked, “How are you feeling now, Jill?”
She said, “I feel so light, like everything has lifted off me! And I can’t believe that it was all so very gentle. I couldn’t even really feel your touch!”
Less is more. Gentle is powerful. A light touch can reach deep.
💡 Bob’s just discovered something…
Bigger. Harder. More.
That must mean better… right?
Not necessarily, Bob. 😉
Sometimes it’s the smallest input that can make a difference.
That’s the thinking behind EMMETT Technique — gentle, simple and effective.
Turns out Bob might be onto something. 💡🦎
What if less really CAN be more?
