From 3 February 2025, the maternal respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccine will be available for eligible pregnant women under the National Immunisation Program 🤰

The RSV vaccine is recommended between 28 to 36 weeks of pregnancy to protect newborn babies from RSV. 🗓️

RSV is a serious disease for newborn babies and infants. It infects the nose, throat, and lungs. It is a leading cause of childhood hospitalisation.

To receive the vaccine for free, you must hold or be eligible for a Medicare card.
