The sun came up again today. And I think sometimes we forget just how powerful that really is. After everything yesterday carried, the heartbreak, the heaviness, the uncertainty, the tears nobody saw, the things you couldn’t control and the moments you wondered how you were going to keep going, the world kept turning. The darkness passed. And the light found its way back in.
There is something incredibly sacred about that. The sun doesn’t rise because yesterday was perfect. It rises because yesterday is over. It doesn’t ask you to explain what happened, justify why you’re tired or prove that you’re ready for another beginning. It simply appears over the horizon and reminds you that life is still here. And so are you.
Maybe you don’t need to have your whole life figured out today. Maybe today isn’t about becoming someone new or making some enormous change. Maybe today is simply about remembering that you get another chance. To choose differently. To speak kinder to yourself. To stop carrying something that has already happened. To laugh again. To love again. To dream about a life that feels exciting again.
Because there will be mornings you haven’t lived yet that will make you understand why you had to keep going. There are people you haven’t met, places you haven’t stood, belly laughs you haven’t laughed, songs you haven’t screamed in the car, sunsets you haven’t watched and versions of yourself you haven’t even had the privilege of meeting yet.
So if yesterday was heavy, leave some of it there. You don’t have to drag every old version of yourself into every new sunrise.
Look at the sky.
The sun came back.
The light came back.
And maybe today, little by little, you come back too. ☀️✨🌙
