But when food, weight, exercise, body shape or appearance begin to take up a lot of space in a young person’s life, it may be a sign that they are struggling with disordered eating, an eating disorder or body image distress.

📣 Brand New Handbook for Teens 📣

This guide has been created with care, by Kirra Clarke, for LGBTIQA+ young people who may be wondering, questioning, exploring, feeling unsure, feeling proud, feeling scared, or simply wanting language for parts of themselves they are still getting to know. It is informed by LGBTIQA+ affirming practice, trauma-informed care, neuroaffirming approaches, child and adolescent mental health knowledge, and the lived experiences of young people who have helped adults understand what support, safety and respect can look like.

✨Building social confidence through connection and play✨
Growing Leaders is a small therapeutic play group that supports young people aged 5-7.

Rather than directly teaching social skills, children learn through shared play experiences, practising:

Leadership and following

Emotional awareness and regulation

Flexible thinking

Navigating inclusion and disappointment in peer settings

📣New Blog📣
There is a particular tenderness in parenting teenagers. Our young people are no longer little children, yet they are not quite adults. They are stretching toward independence, forming stronger opinions, seeking privacy, testing limits, and trying to understand who they are apart from us.
