The clinic will be closed from 28th August – 15th September while I take some time to rest and recharge.

If you'd like appointments before I head away, now is the perfect time to get organised. Book ahead.

I just got off the phone with my new VA, Kristen .va, and I’m so excited to be working with her. I just feel so supported and held by her. We’re setting things up so she can take over communications, which means she’ll be the warm voice answering your calls.

She noticed in my diary that it marks two years of Sheoak. Kristen congratulated me, and I told her I’d completely let it pass without celebrating because I’ve just been busy working. She said, “That is the celebration, being able to work,”.

So here I am at 8pm reflecting on the business. Today I got to see some beautiful clients, support them with their health and I even got to hold a client’s baby. It will never get lost on me how incredibly grateful I am for this work, my community, the support around me, .soulstudio and the need for Chinese Medicine.

Happy 2 years and to the many more years to come 🫶🫶

S***m is a big part of the fertility picture 🤍.

The male factor contributes to about 50% of all cases of infertility.

Things that can impact s***m health include:
• Chronic stress
• Poor sleep
• Excess alcohol
• Overheating the te**es (saunas, hot tubs, laptops on the lap)
• Poor diet and nutrient deficiencies

Chinese Medicine didn't use cadavers largely due to Confucian and Taoist philosophy.

Because of this diagnosis developed very differently.

Rather than dissecting the body, Chinese Medicine looks at the whole system using observation, palpation, and questioning. To understand why symptoms are happening not just where they show up.

When someone comes in with period pain for instance, I look at things like:
• complexion and tongue
• the quality of the blood and pain
• what improves or worsens symptoms
• the pulse, abdomen, and channels

This holistic approach allows treatment to be tailored to that person's particular type of pain.

Much like women have a hormonal feedback system between the brain and ovaries, men also have a feedback loop between the brain and the te**es. This system plays a key role in regulating hormone balance and s***m production. When hormone levels are too high or too low, s***matogenesis, the process of producing s***m can be disrupted.

Acupuncture helps regulate communication between the brain and the te**es, supports healthy testosterone production, and reduces stress-related hormonal suppression. It also helps improve blood flow to the te**es, reducing oxidative stress and inflammation. This is all important factors for healthy s***m development.

If you’re planning for pregnancy, starting preconception care for men at least 72–90 days before trying to conceive is one of the most supportive steps you can take, allowing a full s***m development cycle to be optimised.

Undersupply of breast milk?

This can feel like such a stressful time as you are wanting to feed your baby. What can you do? Well formula is always an option and needed at times.
