Imagine what could change when old patterns no longer hold you back.

Sometimes we know exactly what we'd like to change, yet find ourselves repeating the same thoughts, behaviours, or reactions.

Lasting change often involves more than willpower alone.

Many of the patterns that shape our daily lives operate below conscious awareness. When those patterns are understood, change can begin to feel more natural and sustainable.

What is one pattern you'd like to move beyond?

The nervous system responds to moments of safety.

For each of us, those moments can look different.

A quiet walk.
A conversation with someone we care about.
Time in nature.
Doing something we love.

Whatever helps you feel a little more grounded, make space for it.

Many of the patterns we carry today began as ways of coping.

They served a purpose.

They helped us get through.

Yet there may come a time when surviving is no longer the goal.

A time when growth, healing, confidence, connection, or simply feeling more at ease becomes possible.

There's something about watching the sun set over the ocean that creates a sense of space.

Space to notice.

To notice the beauty around us.

To notice what we're thinking.

To notice how we're feeling.

To notice what we might need next.

Whatever this week has looked like for you, I hope you're able to find some space over the weekend.

We often assume that when something feels heavier, the weight must have increased.

Sometimes that's not the case.

Sometimes the burden is the same, but the effort of carrying it day after day, month after month, or year after year begins to take its toll.

Whether it's stress, responsibility, grief, worry, self-criticism, or simply trying to hold everything together, there can be value in noticing what you've been carrying and asking whether it's time to put some of it down.

For many people, hypnotherapy provides a space to explore what's been weighing on them, process it differently, and begin letting go of what no longer serves them.

A warm hello to those who are new here, and a gentle reintroduction to those who have been here for a while.

I’m Angela — a Clinical Hypnotherapist offering personalised hypnotherapy sessions for adults, teens, and children 7+, both in person and online.

My work supports people experiencing anxiety, trauma, chronic pain, stress, overwhelm, confidence challenges, unwanted habits, smoking cessation, and emotional wellbeing — among many other areas where clinical hypnotherapy may support positive change and nervous system regulation.

Using evidence-informed approaches, I work gently with the subconscious mind to support meaningful, lasting change in a way that feels safe, supportive, and tailored to your unique needs.

Outside of my work, you’ll usually find me with my horses, enjoying quiet moments in nature, embracing a slower pace of life here in Geraldton… and of course, coffee ☕️

Thank you for being here.

Angela

In a world that often praises constant productivity, it can be easy to feel as though we always need to be doing more.

Sometimes meaningful progress looks quieter.

Resting.
Reflecting.
Setting boundaries.
Processing emotions.
Allowing the mind and body space to reset.

Growth doesn’t always happen at full speed.

As the cooler months settle in, so too can the sniffles 🤧

Before you reschedule, it might be worth considering — a hypnotherapy session could still gently support you while you’re feeling run down.

While it doesn’t treat a cold itself, hypnotherapy can support relaxation, sleep, and how your body experiences discomfort.

If you’re feeling up to it, online sessions are always an option.

From the comfort of home.
Virtual sessions are a comfortable, effective way to continue your progress.

Always encouraging to see neuroscience continuing to validate what I see in practice every day… hypnotherapy works.

I see this kind of change with clients so often, gently supporting the brain to shift, adapt, and respond differently.

Emerging neuroscience is continuing to validate what many clinicians see every day …. hypnotherapy works.

A recent research review by Menon & Bhagat highlights that hypnosis is not just a subjective experience, but a measurable, structured neurocognitive process. Using tools like fMRI and EEG, studies show distinct patterns of brain activity and connectivity during hypnosis, particularly in areas responsible for attention, emotional regulation, perception, and self-awareness.

What’s especially compelling is how these brain changes translate into real clinical outcomes. The research links hypnotic processes with effective results in pain management, anxiety reduction, and behaviour change — demonstrating that hypnotherapy operates through identifiable brain–body mechanisms, not just suggestion alone.

From a modern healthcare perspective, hypnotherapy can be understood as a method of guiding the brain’s top-down processes — helping reshape perception, regulate emotions, and support behavioural shifts. This positions it as a powerful complementary therapy alongside traditional psychological and medical treatments.

Overall, the evidence points to hypnotherapy as a scientifically grounded, mechanism-driven approach with growing relevance in neuroscience and clinical practice. As research continues to evolve, its role in supporting neuroplasticity and improving patient outcomes is becoming increasingly clear.

Not every thought that comes up needs your attention.

Some feel loud.
Some feel convincing.
Some feel like something you need to figure out right away.

But a thought is not a command.

It’s something you can notice…
without needing to engage, react, or follow where it leads.

Creating that small space can shift more than you might expect.

It’s something we can learn to do.
