As we mark the last day of National Palliative Care Week, we reflect on the importance of compassionate, person-centred care during some of life’s most vulnerable moments.

Palliative care is about more than medical support. It is about comfort, dignity, emotional support, family connection, and helping people live as well as possible with the care that matters most to them.

Today, we honour every person, family, carer, nurse, support worker, volunteer, and health professional who walks alongside others with kindness, patience, and compassion.
