✨ 𝐇𝐢, 𝐈’𝐦 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞… 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈 𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐚 𝐅𝐄𝐖 𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐬. 😂

If you’re new around here - or you’ve been following for a while and still aren’t entirely sure what I actually do - let me reintroduce myself. 👋

I’m a mum first. ❤️
I’m also a Nurse Educator, a Baby CPR & First Aid Trainer, a Mothers Group Host, a Baby Sleep Coach, and someone who provides feeding support — breast, bottle or a combination of both.

But I think the biggest part of what I do is simply this…

✨ 𝐈 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐦𝐮𝐦𝐬 𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐝.

Because motherhood comes with SO many questions.

Is my baby feeding enough?
Why won’t they sleep?
Is this normal?
Am I doing this right?
Does anyone else feel like this?!

Sometimes you need education.
Sometimes you need practical support.
Sometimes you need another mum who gets it.
And sometimes you just need a coffee and somewhere you can turn up exactly as you are. ☕️🤍

That’s why I created The Motherhood Centre.

A place where evidence-based education and real-life motherhood can exist in the same room - without judgement, pressure or the expectation that you should already know what you’re doing.

I also LOVE collaborating with other local businesses and professionals because I truly believe supporting mothers takes a village - and there are some incredible people in ours. 🙌

So whether you find me running a mothers group, teaching someone how to perform CPR on their baby, chatting about sleep, helping with a feed, connecting you with another professional, or simply holding your baby while you drink your coffee…

𝐈’𝐦 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥 𝐚 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐥𝐲. 🤎

Now I want to know about YOU 👇
Are you pregnant, in the newborn bubble, chasing a toddler… or somehow already navigating the school years? 😂

What a great session Movers & Growers mums had today. We were so lucky to have The Caring Collective Aisha and Olga.

Today they spoke about your babies primitive reflexes and how they can effect your children if they remain present as they grow. And the also spoke about how chiropractic work can help babies recover from birth when performed by a trained professional.

I'd love to hear from you - have you ever taken your child to a chiropractor? Share below.

✨ 𝗠𝗨𝗠… 𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗨𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗬 𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗘𝗡𝗢𝗨𝗚𝗛?

This week for 𝗦𝗻𝘂𝗴𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 – 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝟰, we’re welcoming 𝗔𝗯𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗻, 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁, to talk about something that so many mums experience without even realising it — 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗳𝘂𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗺 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀.

Between feeding the baby, settling, contact naps, broken sleep and simply trying to get through the day… eating enough can very quickly fall to the bottom of the list.

But your postpartum body is doing A LOT. 🤍

Abigail specialises in 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗺 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 and will be chatting with our mums about topics such as:

🤍 What underfueling can look like postpartum
🤍 Why your nutritional needs matter during recovery
🤍 How breastfeeding can impact your energy needs
🤍 Practical ways to nourish yourself when life with a baby is BUSY
🤍 Why postpartum nourishment isn't about being “perfect” — it's about giving your body what it needs

This is exactly what 𝗦𝗻𝘂𝗴𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 is about.

Yes, we come together to meet other mums and build our village — but we also make space to talk about 𝗬𝗢𝗨.

Because postpartum care shouldn't stop once the baby arrives.

Week 4: Movers & Growers 6-12 month Mothers Group

✨ WHAT ARE PRIMITIVE REFLEXES… AND COULD YOUR CHILD STILL HAVE THEM?

We’re excited to welcome Aisha & Olga from The Caring Collective as guest speakers at The Motherhood Centre! 🤍

Together, Aisha and Olga are passionate about supporting women, babies and children through pregnancy, postpartum and the early years.

For this session, Aisha, a chiropractor specialising in pregnancy, postpartum and paediatric care, will be sharing her knowledge around primitive reflexes in children.

We’ll be chatting about:
🤍 What primitive reflexes actually are
🤍 Why babies are born with them
🤍 When we expect them to integrate
🤍 Signs that may indicate a primitive reflex is still present
🤍 When it might be worth seeking further assessment or support

You don’t need to know anything about primitive reflexes before coming — that’s exactly why we bring incredible local professionals into our mothers groups!

It’s an opportunity to learn, ask questions and better understand your little one’s development while sitting amongst other mums in a relaxed and supportive space.

✨ Another reason our mothers groups are about so much more than just getting out of the house.

Have you ever heard of retained primitive reflexes before? Tell us below 👇

What a glorious days in the sun!

Other than the local bird life who occasionally tried to steal our food - we had a lovely day having a picnic in the winter sun. We found a nice quiet sheltered spot to throw out our rugs and enjoy lunch together.

Week 3 of Snuggle Club = great excuse to get out into the sun and enjoy some Vit D and great company.

𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞 & 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭. 🤍

Breastfeeding is natural… but that doesn't always mean it's easy.

For some families, it begins smoothly. For others, it's a journey filled with questions, tears, uncertainty, and perseverance. Every experience is different, and every family deserves to feel supported—not judged.

As a neonatal nurse and infant nurse educator, I've seen firsthand the difference that evidence-based education, compassionate guidance, and simply having someone in your corner can make.

This World Breastfeeding Week, let's remember that supporting breastfeeding isn't just about feeding a baby. It's about empowering parents with the knowledge, confidence, and reassurance they need to make informed decisions that are right for their family.

Whether you're breastfeeding, expressing, mixed feeding, using donor milk, or navigating unexpected challenges—you deserve support every step of the way. ❤️

If someone supported you on your feeding journey, tag them below and let them know how much it meant to you. And if you're a new or expectant parent with questions, know that you're not alone—we're here to help.
