It’s no secret… 💁🏼‍♀️

We’ve been deep in the DUTCH testing realm lately.

And a pattern we’ve been noticing • people aren’t necessarily coming in for more testing… they’re coming in because the testing they’ve already done hasn’t really explained much at all.

We keep hearing versions of the same thing:
“My bloodwork came back normal…”
“…but I still know something’s off.”

What we love about DUTCH is it gives us a better look at what’s actually happening with hormones as they’re being broken down and used; not just a snapshot in time!

Even we open some clients results and have a little “ohhhhhh okay” moment 👀

It makes such a difference when things stop feeling random, and there’s something we can actually work back from.

You’ve never met eggplant like this 😮‍💨

Save me for your next “I have random ingredients but want something delicious” night 🤍

This literally feels like you threw things together and accidentally made a restaurant dish!

FRIED EGGPLANT + PISTACHIO YOGHURT + SALSA VERDE • Serves 2–4

YOU’LL NEED
* 1 large eggplant, sliced into rounds or wedges
* Sea salt
* Olive oil (for frying) - make sure it’s quality olive oil

Pistachio yoghurt
* 1 cup thick yoghurt (greek or coconut if PB)
* ¼ cup pistachios, finely chopped
* 1 small garlic clove, grated
* Squeeze of lemon
* Salt + cracked pepper

Salsa verde
* 1 cup mixed soft herbs (parsley, mint, basil all work) finely chopped
* 2 tbsp capers, chopped
* 1 garlic clove, crushed
* Zest + juice of ½ lemon
* 3–4 tbsp olive oil
* Pinch sea salt
* Optional: chilli flakes

Method
1. Salt eggplant and leave 15–20 mins (optional but worth it), then pat dry.
2. Pan fry in olive oil over medium heat until deeply golden and soft inside.
3. Mix together the pistachio yoghurt ingredients.
4. Stir together salsa verde until glossy and spoonable.
5. Spread yoghurt onto a plate, pile over warm eggplant, spoon over salsa verde and finish with extra pistachios + flaky salt.

Your body stores belly fat because it thinks you’re living through an emergency 😬

When you get stressed, your body releases cortisol.

Cortisol’s job is to make sure you have enough fuel to deal with whatever is stressing you out.

It does this by releasing more glucose (sugar) into your bloodstream for quick energy.

So where’s the issue?

If you’re not actually running from a tiger… and you’re just stressed about work, money, relationships, deadlines, poor sleep, or trying to juggle a million things at once, that extra fuel often doesn’t get used!

Your body then releases insulin to move that sugar out of the bloodstream.

And when insulin is hanging around more often, your body becomes more likely to store energy rather than burn it.

One of its favourite places to store it? Around the abdomen (no worries hit us where it hurts) 💀

A lot of women respond by eating less and exercising more because they think the issue is a lack of willpower or simply caloric intake 👀

But if you’re already running on high stress, poor sleep, blood sugar swings, overworking, and a constantly switched-on nervous system…

You may just be pouring fuel on the exact cycle you’re trying to escape.

The pending icy winter mornings call for something warm, comforting, and nourishing!

Breakfast gets boring quick (hence why a lot of you tend to SKIP it… 👀)

So if you’re looking to switch up your usual A.M feed, this Chai-Spiced Pear Porridge is the perfect cosy bowl!

Soft caramelised pear, warming spices, and a creamy bowl of goodness that feels like a hug on a cold morning 🫶

Chai-Spiced Pear Porridge • Serves 1

Ingredients:
• ½ cup rolled oats
• 1 cup milk of choice
• 1 small pear, diced
• ½ tsp cinnamon
• ¼ tsp ground ginger
• Pinch cardamom
• Pinch nutmeg
• 1 tsp maple syrup (optional)
• 1 tbsp chopped walnuts or pecans

Method:
1. Add oats, milk, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, and nutmeg to a saucepan.
2. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for 5–8 minutes, stirring occasionally.
3. While the oats cook, lightly sauté half the pear in a pan until soft and fragrant.
4. Stir the cooked pear into the porridge.
5. Top with the remaining fresh pear, walnuts, and a drizzle of maple syrup if desired.
