Today we recognise and thank the incredible first responders in our community who work tirelessly to keep us safe, including paramedics, firefighters, police officers, SES volunteers, and all emergency personnel. Their dedication, courage, and compassion make an enormous difference every single day.

Over the past month, we have had special colouring-in pages available in our kids’ area at Glenorie Village Medical Practice. We are so grateful to all the children who took the time to create thoughtful drawings and messages of thanks. These wonderful artworks will be delivered to our local first responders as a small token of appreciation from our community. ❤️

To all first responders: thank you for everything you do for our families and community.

At Glenorie Village Medical Practice, we’re committed to your health and well-being. This June, we’re joining Bowel Cancer Australia in raising awareness about bowel cancer—the second deadliest cancer in Australia. Alarmingly, Australia has the highest rates of early-onset bowel cancer in the world, with cases rising by up to 8% annually among individuals under 50 .
Early signs to watch for:
- Blood in stools
- Abdominal pain or bloating
- Changes in bowel habits
- Unexplained weight loss

If you experience any of these symptoms, please consult with your GP promptly. Early detection can lead to a 99% treatment success rate .
Together, we can make a difference.
