Repost from Ocean Road Magazine

✨ Connection. Confidence. Community. ✨

There’s something powerful about women coming together — and the Southern Women Connect Luncheon was a beautiful celebration of exactly that. 💕

Held at Currumbin RSL and proudly presented by Bendigo Bank Tugun, the afternoon brought women from across the Gold Coast together over a delicious lunch, inspiring speakers and meaningful conversations focused on mind, body and wellbeing.

From personal stories and practical wellbeing insights to new friendships and connections, it was an afternoon filled with encouragement, empowerment and plenty of heart.

A wonderful reminder that when women support women, everyone benefits. ✨

Every one of us moves along a continuum throughout our lives, influenced by our experiences, stress, relationships, health and environment.

Understanding this helps us move away from judgement and towards curiosity—for ourselves and for others.

It also reminds us that wellbeing isn’t a destination. It’s something we can intentionally build, one small step at a time.

Where do you think you are on the continuum today?

Last day to buy tickets for the Southern Women Connect luncheon on Friday the 21st of August! 💕

I’m so looking forward to MC’ing this beautiful afternoon, and even more excited that my gorgeous friend Angela Lee Jenkins is our keynote speaker. ❤️

It’s going to be a really lovely afternoon celebrating women, with great food, inspiring conversations, local businesses, fabulous prizes and, most importantly, a chance to stop for a few hours, connect, laugh and enjoy ourselves.

Whether you’ve been thinking about coming solo, with some of your team from work or a friend this is your sign — ticket sales close today!

We also have a table of our guests put aside so you are very welcome to join that table. Just mention that when booking

I sometimes think we put so much pressure on ourselves to find our purpose.

Over the years, I’ve explored many different approaches with clients and in my own life. There isn’t one right path, and everyone’s journey is unique.

This perspective can be a good place to start because it shifts the question from “What am I meant to do?” to “What have I already been given?”

Sometimes, the clues to our purpose have been within us all along.

I’d love to know… what are your thoughts? Have you ever looked at purpose this way?

When we hear “mental health”, most of us immediately think about mental illness.

But mental health isn’t simply the absence of illness. It’s something every one of us has, and it moves up and down throughout our lives.

Understanding that one shift changes the conversation from fear and stigma… to building wellbeing.

That’s where real prevention begins.

What comes to mind when you hear the words mental health?
