***QLD lockdown update***
From 6pm tonight for 3 days Gold coast is under lockdown restrictions. Please be advised we are still open as usual and providing essential medical services via telehealth and face to face for matters deemed not suitable for telehealth at the discretion of your GP. Rest assured you are allowed to leave home to seek medical care during this time. Masks are required in the clinic and please do not attend if you have any respiratory, fever or illness symptoms or have attended a listed exposure site- please call for advice. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding in advance.

Please do not attend clinic without phoning us for advice first. We may be required to offer you a telehealth appointment or reschedule for you until further notice. On PHN advice Gold Coast is now considered a moderate covid risk area. As a result of this advice we now require all people attending the clinic to wear a face mask. Surgical is preferred where possible. Please bring one to your appointment if you have one.

Queensland Health has expanded its list of venues where confirmed COVID-19 cases have visited.

The new locations are in Doolandella, Springwood, Russell Island and Redland Bay.

Great work QLD. We feel this is due to increased awareness of hygeine, good uptake of flu vaccines and the most important message to come out of covid would have to be staying home from work and school whilst sick. Its great to see people following this concept and is something we should take forward into the future.

Nice work, Queensland! Because of your great work in following good hygiene practices, socially distancing and getting the flu shot, flu numbers this year are significantly lower than what they have been in the last five flu seasons and are 84% lower than this time last year! 😮

Research suggests that Queenslanders have greatly improved their hygiene practices, which has helped to stop the spread of flu in our community.
