online or face to face, equine assisted & natured based therapy Rein Changer is situated near Canungra SE, QLD within an easy reach of the Gold Coast, Northern NSW and Brisbane and located at gorgeous Ricinda Ranch Quarter Horse Stud. We offer a very unique opportunity and welcome clients to experience Equine Assisted Therapy/ Learning within our herd of beautiful caring mares and foals. Our herd

has been an integral and supportive part of our lives for many years and has assisted us to not only overcome life’s challenges but to thrive in the valuable skills developed in their wake. Horses are beautiful, sensitive and intelligent animals and often evoke feelings and emotions we previously had little awareness of thus allowing us to see, feel and reach and develop areas within us. By focusing on developing and strengthen our supports and resources we are able to build the skills required for life’s challenges. The horses within our herd are calm, respectful, happy, well adjusted and very connected with people. We view them as part of our family and we are viewed as part of their herd and this is very evident in the response from them in the warm caring manner they express when they see us. Horses live in the present moment, in awareness and authentic contact, when living in a herd environment. These capacities are profoundly important for human health and wellness – the capacity to live in the present, be aware and create and maintain healthy, honest and creative relationships

At Rein Changer we also are able to bring years of experience working with people and staff experiencing significant life/ professional events to develop a wide range of skills to support them following these events. Particular focus areas are working with clients or staff supporting clients, with issues on safety, trauma, domestic violence and working with women/ and adolescents. Our main focus is supporting client’s to discover their true self by exploring within a safe and nurturing environment areas of social-emotional development, leadership, relationships, self-awareness, healing, personal development, strengthening supports, resources and growth and change. Our services are individually modeled to meet the specific needs of each client and are offered on a one to one level with a equine co-facilitator of client choice (horse partner). We also offer programs for organistaions, businesses and work related goals on a broad range of areas such as developing high performance teams, working effectively in team, developing skills for rapidly changing / high risk environments (Emergency Service Personal, Education, Health Services, Human Related Services), leadership, emotional intelligence, contact, effective relationship building and awareness of specific target groups and communication skills.

Building Bravery

One of the things I love the most about my horses is that feeling of "we can do anything together". Ever since I was a teenager with my first horse Shadow, I have built a bond with my horses that makes me feel like we are an unstoppable team.

Over the years, hundreds of clinics, one of my passions is sharing that process with riders, to help them experience that amazing feeling.

Now I feel like we take it to an even deeper level, through my collaborative work with Linda from Nurtured by Nature Psychotherapy

Over 3 days we share with you our knowledge to help you not only help your horse build bravery, but yourself.

Linda helps you understand your human emotions, thought patterns and nervous system in such a way that allows you to take control of situations, to support yourself, and your horse.

I give you the tools to support your horse - how to preserve curiosity around learning, how to build confidence around obstacles and "new situations", what to do if something goes wrong, and how to hit that reset button.

We have 2 of these clinics booked before the end of 2026

September 25, 26 and 27 at Glenreagh NSW

October 2, 3 & 4 at Gympie / Braceland QLD

If you want to get that feeling of you and your horse building bravery together, join us by sending a message or commenting below for details.

Nervous system regulation can come in many forms.

For me, today it looked like making delicious mango jam and chutney from our homegrown mangoes. The process was deeply grounding—the aroma and taste filling my kitchen and inviting me to slow down and be present.

But it doesn’t end there. It’s also about the beautiful memories that come flooding back as my senses come alive: climbing the mango tree with the kids, seeing who could pick the biggest one, watching the birds visit for their share, and noticing the bees pollinating the blossoms as nature weaves her magic.

It’s also about gifting jars of jam and chutney to special friends and family, and carrying on the generational tradition of preserving and sharing food made with love.

And it doesn’t end there either. Every spoonful of jam or chutney will take me back to those special moments—the laughter, the connection, the mango tree, the birds and the bees.

Who would have thought that an afternoon spent making jam and chutney could be so soothing for the nervous system? 🥭💛

Trying to juggle motherhood with the demands of rearing children and struggling to even get a couple of minutes to yourself to recharge?

This video is on one of our mares trying to get some much needed rest. As you might have noticed there are 2 youngsters been very annoying while she tries to sleep.

I gather some of you may be able resonate with our mare Val when you also have youngsters at home and are trying to desperately even get just a few moments of rest

Sleep fatigue slows down your brain and drains your body. It makes it hard to focus, lowers your mood, and weakens your health over time.

AND yes Horses suffer from sleep fatigue as well. Creating a environment that promotes sleep is essential for both horses & humans.

Im curious to know what strategies do u used to get a great sleep?
