Still buy organic. Still use Crop DeTox.
Organic means fewer synthetic pesticides, but it's not a force field. Bacteria doesn't check the label. And you don't always know what the produce has been through between the farm and your sink.
We clean our benchtops. We take our shoes off at the door.
Same logic.

Stainless steel.
In the microwave.
I know.
Prepware is made from 304 food-grade stainless steel with a silicone lid, and yes, it goes in the microwave. Fridge, freezer, oven, dishwasher.
Good food in. Good food out.

Three presses = delicate cycle. Ten minutes, no rotator disc.
Good for berries, cherry tomatoes, anything you'd rather not bounce around.
Same electrolysis. Just gentler.

Soaking corn before grilling it traps moisture inside the husk. That moisture steams the kernels from the inside as it cooks, keeping them juicy and letting the sugars caramelise properly.
I run mine through a Crop DeTox cycle while it soaks. Pesticide residue and bacteria dealt with before it goes anywhere near the heat. Same soak. Two jobs done.

Do you wash your mushrooms?

Most people don’t. And honestly, fair enough - the advice has always been “just wipe them.”

But mushrooms are grown in compost and manure-based substrates, handled multiple times before they reach you, and sitting in supermarket packaging for days.

Six minutes in the Crop DeTox. Bacteria dealt with. Done.

And the best way to store them is back in the paper bag they came in.

Limp carrots aren’t old. They’re just thirsty.

Store them submerged in cold water in the fridge and they’ll stay crisp for weeks.

Our Keepware this effortless. Launching next week 🥕

Quick tip: don't skip the rinse at the end.
Once the cycle's finished, the residue and bacteria have been lifted off your produce and into the water. A quick rinse under the tap clears anything left on the surface before it can settle back as the sink drains.
Ten seconds. Colander, sieve, or just your hands. Quick rinse, done.

The device has done the hard work. The rinse is the finishing touch.

A lot of us are looking at the Dirty Dozen list today.

And I get the feeling our collective response is one of shock, but not shocked, followed by a mental note to get more vigilant with our produce washing.

Here's the thing nobody's mentioning.

Those numbers? The 96% of samples that tested positive for pesticides? The 203 different pesticides detected?

That's after the rinse.

Before every single sample was tested, the USDA washed it under cold running water, peeled it where relevant, then tested it.

The Dirty Dozen isn't measuring dirty produce. It's measuring produce that was already "cleaned" the way most people do it. It's actually a very fair way to test, because if that's how most people wash their produce, the numbers they report are the best baseline we can set our expectations to. But clearly there's a lot of scope to get better results for ourselves in our own homes.

This is why we built Crop DeTox. Water alone is not enough any more.
