Little Life, Big Loss is a collection of real stories from parents who have experienced devastating loss.

Within these pages are stories of love, grief, shock, longing, silence, survival and the kind of motherhood and parenthood that continues long after goodbye.

This book was created for the parent who has sat in the quiet and wondered if anyone could ever truly understand.

It was created for the family member or friend who wants to support someone they love, but does not know what to say.

It was created for the nurse, midwife, doctor, social worker, counsellor or support person who wants to better understand the human heart behind baby and infant loss.

And it was created for every little life who deserves to be loved and honoured.

Through raw, honest and deeply moving chapters, the contributors of Little Life, Big Loss share the babies they carried, birthed, held, loved, lost and continue to remember. Their words are not here to offer neat answers or easy endings.

This is a book about love - the kind that begins before birth, survives beyond death and continues in every breath, memory, ritual and act of remembrance.

“Your grief is real. Your baby mattered. Your love still counts.”

Today we get to share some beautiful news as well as an extremely important message about endometriosis! As always, my amazing patients say it best 🙏🏼🤍 Over to Jasmine…

“I made a promise to myself that I would never be quiet about our path to parenthood ❤️‍🩹 After a total of 21 months and a diagnosis with stage 3 Endometriosis, I don’t want to pretend that our fertilty journey was simple.

Getting diagnosed with Endometriosis diagnosis earlier this year was initially heavy to hear, but it did bring an overwhelming sense of relief to finally have the answers we had been searching for.

I had an internal exam last year and was promised that “everything was fine”. To be told less than a year later if I had of waited any longer for the excision surgery I would have lost my bowel was really hard to process.

I had countless doctors tell me that I’m young and healthy and nothing is wrong. And if I hadn’t of eventually found two incredible doctors who listened, I am not sure where we would be today ❤️‍🩹

Let this be your sign to never stop advocating for yourself if you feel like something just isn’t right.

To women who are currently going through something similar, my heart is with you and my inbox is always open ❤️‍🩹

Baby Casey we simply cannot wait to meet you 🥹”

A gentle start to the week, sharing the view from my morning walk in Canberra over the weekend. 🌅

I’ll tell you about why I was there tomorrow but today, just a reminder that one of the simplest things we can do for ourselves is just… walk.

For my patients going through fertility treatment, it’s so important to look yourself beyond the appointments, scans, medications and procedures.

Yes I can tell you about cardiovascular and metabolic health, but instead I’ll talk about something equally valuable on this journey;

A change of scenery and a little space for your mind to slow down.

It doesn’t need to be fast. It doesn’t need to be far. And it certainly doesn’t need to count as a “workout”.

Sometimes a walk can just be a walk.

And sometimes it comes with a spectacular sunrise like this.

I second the motion! 👏 Resharing this great post because I have hundreds of candidates for every single category, and every single one deserves the win. 🙏🏼 Also these words 👇🏼🙌🏼

“somewhere between the appointments, injections, waiting rooms and waiting games, these women are quietly becoming some of the strongest people I know. Not because they chose this. But because they keep showing up anyway.

l’ve realised something recently... IVF isn’t just creating future families. It’s revealing the resilience, courage and hope that already exists inside so many women. That’s what deserves celebrating.

If you’ve ever felt like nobody sees how hard you’re trying, consider this your reminder...I see you and I hope this carousel reminds you to see yourself too ” 🙏🏼

We see you 🤍

“After 14 months on our second fertility journey, a laparoscopy, an endometriosis diagnosis, chronic endometritis that resulted in 6-7 biopsies to clear, round after round of antibiotics, 3 failed transfers, PRP, and more hormones, injections and infusions than I can count, we finally saw two lines on a test.

We saw a little heartbeat at 7 weeks. Nothing prepares you for not seeing that same little heartbeat two weeks later. Naively, I never thought we would end up in the 1 in 4 club. Yet here we are.

This post isn't for sympathy - it's for awareness.

Miscarriage is so common, yet so many women go through it in silence, almost as if it's something to be ashamed of or hide. It shouldn't be.

There is no shame in loss, no shame in fertility struggles, and no shame in needing help to grow your family.

The more we talk about it, the more we chip away at that stigma and the less alone the next woman going through it will feel.

We have always been open about our journey and that openness is exactly what's carrying us now. Our support network has been incredible and we wouldn't have made it through a single setback without every one of them.

We're also so thankful to , and who have continued to advocate for us every step of the way - never giving up on finding answers, and always fighting in our corner when things got hard.

If sharing our story helps even one other woman feel less alone, or feel able to ask for help sooner, or simply feel seen, it's worth it.

We're so lucky to have our beautiful (and often chaotic) little man. He's brought so much light into our lives, especially now.”

An incredibly important post from .surmon

Thank you so much for sharing Ashleigh, the impact of your words go far beyond mine.

There is no shame in loss!
There is no shame in fertility struggles!
There is no shame in needing help to grow your family!

Every detail handled with meticulous care. Every milestone watched closely. Every decision guided by science, experience and an unwavering commitment to giving every embryo the very best opportunity.

What makes a truly exceptional embryology team isn’t just technical expertise.

It’s the understanding that every embryo represents someone’s future. Someone’s hope. Someone’s family.

Our remarkable team brings together precision, compassion and decades of collective experience.

They celebrate every fertilisation, hope with every division and quietly share in every disappointment, never losing sight of the privilege of being trusted with something so precious.

Today, on World Embryologist Day, we’re celebrating the scientists behind the scenes whose expertise and dedication help make parenthood possible for so many families. ❤️

To our incredible Gold Coast ‘Labbies,’ thank you for the work you do every single day!

🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 let’s show our embryologists some big love today ❤️
