CREATE A PLAN TO RELIEVE YOUR BACK PAIN

Back pain is one of the most common painful conditions, affecting 4 in 5 Australian's at some point in their lives.

While the cause is rarely life-threatening, the pain and stiffness can be debilitating.

The good news is that a wide variety of options exist and are available for treating persistent, re-current, acute and chronic back pain.

When dealing with your options there are a few things you can do and need to keep in mind to get the best results:

• Get the most accurate diagnosis possible of the type of back disorder you suffer from. An accurate diagnosis allows you to choose the treatment options appropriate for your specific back problem.

This may require further investigations referred by your practitioner - like blood tests, spinal x-rays, CT's or an MRI.

• Seek the advice of an experienced, qualified, certified and well-recommended health professional that understands your type of back problem.

• Be an active participant in your care. Shared decision making in health care means fully understanding the risks and benefits of the various treatments you are considering for your specific problem.

• Don't be affraid to ask for a second opinion if your G.P. or surgeon recommends an invasive, experimental, high risk or very expensive treatment.

Most doctors generally welcome your participation in health care decisions and should supoort your request for a second opinion if you feel hesitant about a particular option.

Meet Dr Brad Seath (Osteopath)

Bachelor of Clinical Sciences. Master of Osteopathic Medicine.

Brad is particularly interested in exercise rehabilitation and restorative practices to get his clients moving again and feeling their best.

Brad takes an individualistic approach to each client and their presenting complaint. Whatever the condition, Brad works to identify and treat underlying causes with a range of manual therapy techniques, including:

• HVLA (High Velocity Low Amplitude)
• Exercise rehabilitation
• Dry needling
• Osteopathy massage
• Myofascial cupping
• Muscle release techniques
• Holistic Wellness advice and care

Brad grew up in Sydney, playing competitive cricket and golf at a high level.

After school, he completed a Bachelor of Business degree. He then went on to own and operate a Snap Fitness Gym for six years.

It was during this time and concurrently working as a Remedial Massage Therapist that Brad soon found his true passion for helping people through Osteopathic Medicine and health practices.

Having moved to the Gold Coast several years ago, Brad also enjoys spending time leading a healthy lifestyle with his wife, his newborn son and their two dogs.

We are so excited to have a New Clinic OPENING SOON in Helensvale Plaza Shopping Centre.

Ground floor, ample parking, a beautifully aquainted healing space and next to City Cave to enjoy a Float or Sauna before or after your treatment / therapy.

We are also NOW offering Occupational Therapy, Hand Therapy and Rehabilitation.
