Soulfuldays Spirituality. Creativity. Movement

My purpose is to bring something that can make life a little sweeter; to share my lifelong love for creativity, beauty and spirituality; to connect to peoples’ hearts and remind them of the magic that is all around us and inside us; to share my soul, my free-spirit, my love for the earth and my love for imperfection.

I mentioned in one of my stories that the industry of yoga was creating the wrong idea about the practice. I had a lots of comments about that story and a lot of you resonated with it.

I felt the need to talk about asana here. So asana is the physical part of yoga and it’s a very important part in the process.

When we practice asana in the right way, it will take you deeper and it will help you move into the more subtle part of the practice. You will find this need to be more in silence, to find more stillness in life and to sit in meditation. Your life will automatically start to change.
The traditional process of yoga will start to unfold.

If you only practice asana as a way of exercising, then you get to a point (which I notice a lot of students do.. I see this all the time) now what? What is next? Why yoga is not giving me more? Why I keep coming back to the same patterns, etc), Or you could think that maybe other forms of exercising will be better for your body, your injury, or will be more fun than yoga or keep trying different ways to move your body that will keep you motivated…And then, you miss the opportunity to really experience this practice.

As a yoga teacher, I feel the need to tell you that if your yoga practice only consists of asana, or if it’s not offering you the preparation for deeper practices like breath and meditation, then you should be looking at understanding yoga better, maybe even looking for private classes with a teacher you trust, or talk to your teacher/studio and express your need to discover the path of yoga.

Practicing yoga as a way to stay fit, is like buying a smart phone to only make phone calls. 😝

Morning practice! What is your morning ritual?

Keeping my yoga practice super simple. I’m getting ready to fly back to Australia and… a lots of mixed feelings… I wish I could have my family closer. I feel my heart is split in two places. 💔

I had the opportunity to spend mahashivaratri in Ecuador at my meditation school and by the side of my guru.

Three days connecting with the power of mahamritujaya mantra.

This Mantra is a verse from the Rig Veda, and is considered to be the most powerful Shiva Mantra. I had a very clear intention (sankalpa) to see with clarity the limitations that I have created around myself that are not allowing me to connect deeper to my true self.

What you see in the image is the Yantra and it represents Lord Shiva.

Welcoming 2022 with my heart ❤️ completely open! This new year I’m looking at cultivating more silence in my life. Less doing and more being. More meditation less distraction. What is your vision for 2022?

“To enjoy a real Christmas you should celebrate the birth of Christ Consciousness in the spiritual centers of divine perception in the brain and spine. In deep meditation you behold all the astral lights of the spinal centers, and there is an exchange of the Christ Consciousness and your consciousness. That is the real Christmas festivity…..When the Christ Consciousness comes to you, you find within you the whole cosmos, with whirling worlds and universes hanging like ornaments around the Christmas tree of the spine. That is how Jesus celebrated ‘Christmas,’ the birth of Christ Consciousness within him."

Satya means truth or not lying. It means to be honest with ourselves and others.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The practice of truthfulness is the second of the five yamas (restraints) described in the Yoga Sutras, this is the practice of speaking, thinking, and acting with integrity. This is about expressing our truth with love and compassion.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Yogis say that if you are always truthful, everything you say will become a reality!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Do you find it easy to be truthful?

Yoga is not only about the yoga postures like many people believe. It includes a lot of ancient wisdom and practices that help us evolve our consciousness. Yoga is the door to liberating ourselves!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Yoga includes lots more than just doing physical exercises and stretches - It includes meditation, pranayam, mantra, etc.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When you practice yoga are you aware of this? Does your yoga practice include more than just the physical practice?
