I've lost count of the number of times I've heard someone say, "I'll do it when I feel ready." In fact, I've been guilt of it many times myself.

The funny thing is... I'm not convinced "ready" is a place most of us ever arrive at.

Whether it's starting a new job, booking the trip, having the conversation, joining the workshop, or simply trying something you've never done before, there's almost always a little voice asking, "But what if I can't?"

If we all waited until we felt completely prepared, we'd probably still be standing at the starting line.

Sometimes you just have to open the box, spread all the pieces out across the floor, stare at the instructions for a minute and think, "Well... this should be interesting."

Somehow, piece by piece, things start to come together.

Not perfectly. Not without a few wrong turns or extra pieces left over. But they come together.

Life is a bit like that too.

So don't wait until you feel fearless. Start while you're still a little uncertain.

After all... nobody has ever looked at an IKEA instruction manual and thought, "I've absolutely got this." 😄 Right...Gentlemen???

I've realised something about myself...

For a long time, I thought I needed to create bigger things. More workshops. More retreats. More experiences.

Don't get me wrong... I absolutely LOVE hosting them. Seeing women connect, laugh, support each other and grow together fills my heart every single time. But over the past few years, something else has become really clear to me.

The moments that stay with me the longest aren't always when I'm standing at the front of the room. They're the conversations afterwards. The woman who quietly waits until everyone else has gone home because she needs to tell someone what's really been going on. The quick cuppa that turns into a two-hour conversation because one question leads to another. The text message later that day saying, "You won't believe what I just did..." or "Something really shifted after our chat."

Those are the moments I carry with me.

I've realised that's where I come alive. I genuinely love listening to people's stories. I love asking the questions that help them see things differently. I love watching the relief wash over someone's face when they realise they're not stuck forever... they just couldn't see the path from where they were standing.

It's never been about having all the answers. It's about helping someone uncover their own.

I think that's why I've never really connected with the title of coach. I'm simply someone who loves conversations. The kind where you leave feeling lighter. The kind where new possibilities begin to appear. The kind where you walk away thinking, "Maybe I can do this after all."

That's why I've created Private Conversations.

Not because I wanted another service to offer, but because I finally stopped trying to fit myself into what I thought I should be doing and started leaning into what I know I do best.

And honestly... that feels pretty good. 💗

I know not everyone loves travelling the way I do, and that's okay. But I honestly believe there's something special about stepping outside your everyday routine, even if it's only for a little while.

Every trip I've taken has given me far more than a few photos on my phone. It's introduced me to incredible people, challenged me in ways I never expected and reminded me that the world is so much bigger than the little bubble we can sometimes get stuck in.

It's funny how easily we can talk ourselves out of the things we really want. We tell ourselves we'll go when life is less busy, when we've saved a little more, when the timing is better or when someone else can come with us. Before we know it, another year has quietly slipped by. And in my case, 37 years slipped by before I finally took my first (of many) trips to Canada. NOW....I'm trying to find excuses NOT to go 😂

I'm not saying everyone should book a flight tomorrow. That's not the point.

The point is that our biggest adventures - whether they're across the world or just around the corner - usually begin the moment we stop collecting reasons why we can't and start becoming curious about what might happen if we did.

Sometimes, the destination changes you.
Sometimes, it's simply making the decision to go.

Did you know I offer one-on-one Private Conversations?

It's funny...

Most people know me for my workshops, retreats and cruises, but what many don't realise is that some of my favourite moments happen one-on-one.

I've always loved sitting down with someone over a cuppa, hearing their story, and gently helping them untangle what's been weighing on them. Sometimes all it takes is a different perspective, a few thoughtful questions, or simply feeling truly heard for everything to start shifting.

Those are the conversations that light me up.

That's why I've officially opened my calendar for Private Conversations.

They're for the moments when life feels a little overwhelming, you're facing a decision, feeling stuck, or simply need someone to help you sort through the noise.

No judgement.
No pressure.
Just an honest conversation with someone who genuinely cares.

If you've been thinking, "I wish I had someone to talk this through with," I'd love to have that conversation with you.

💗 Sandra

I'm NOT a Coach!

There... I said it.

I know that's probably not the best marketing move in an industry where everyone seems to proudly wear the title, but I've never felt comfortable calling myself one.

It's just never felt like me.

When people ask what I do, I don't picture myself standing at the front of a room teaching, fixing or telling people how to live their lives.

I picture two chairs and two beverages.
One woman who feels like she's carrying the weight of the world, and a conversation where she finally gets to exhale.

Those conversations are where I come alive.

I love listening without judgement. I love asking the questions that help someone see things differently. I love watching the penny drop, the smile return, the excitement begin to bubble up as new possibilities appear.

I've realised over the years that this is where I do my best work.

Not coaching...but CONVERSATIONS.

Real, honest conversations that help women untangle what's going on, discover a fresh perspective, and start to find their way forward.

So this week, I'm introducing something that's been on my heart for a while...

Private Conversations.

If you've ever thought, "I just need someone to talk this through with," this was created for you.

So yes... I'm officially saying it. I'm not a coach.

I'm someone who loves having genuine conversations with real human connection, that help women find their way forward.

And honestly...

It feels really good to finally say that out loud. 💛

Have you ever noticed how often we look outside ourselves before making a decision?

We ask for opinions. We read another article. We talk it through with three different people, hoping someone will tell us what to do. Sometimes we're not really looking for advice at all. We're looking for reassurance that we're allowed to want what we want.

I've done it too.

The funny thing is, there comes a point where no one else can answer the question for you. They don't know what it feels like to live your life. They don't hear that quiet voice that's been nudging you for weeks, months, or maybe even years.

That doesn't mean you throw caution to the wind or make impulsive decisions. It simply means learning to value your own wisdom as much as everyone else's.

I've found that trusting yourself isn't usually one big, dramatic moment. It happens in small ways. You back yourself in a conversation. You choose the path that feels right, even if it doesn't make sense to everyone around you. You stop waiting for unanimous approval before taking the next step.

Most of the time, we're not lacking permission.

We're just waiting for someone else to hand us what we've had all along.

And maybe today is a good day to remember that your own voice deserves a seat at the table too.

I think one of the greatest life skills we can develop is the ability to laugh at ourselves.

Not in a cruel way. Not in a "nothing matters" way.

Just enough to recognise that life is wonderfully, ridiculously messy sometimes.

Plans change. People surprise us. We say the wrong thing. We burn dinner. We send a text to the wrong person. We trip over absolutely nothing while trying to look confident.

And then there are those moments where you couldn't have made the story up if you'd tried.

I've learned that once the dust settles, those are usually the stories we end up telling for years. The ones that make everyone around the table laugh until they cry.

So maybe not everything needs to become a crisis.

Some things are just future funny stories waiting for a little bit of time to pass.

And if all else fails... at least you've got content. 😄

What a fun and inspiring day we had today and such a lovely group of ladies.
Some knew exactly what they wanted to put on their boards and others had no idea. One lady’s took a complete different trajectory to what she THOUGHT her board would look like, even though she came with a list.

I love how new ideas and inspiration can come out of just 3 hours of a “time out”.

Even if all you can spare is 30 mins a day, please don’t forget to give yourself this gift. Actually, it’s not even a gift, it’s a necessity.

Take care of you ❤️
Sandra

Next workshop is Beaudesert and Cedar Vale.

Edit: apologies for the sound in this video, apparently Meta doesn’t like my phone settings. Fixed the problem for next time. Gotta love learning things the hard way eh?

Granville!! Today’s the day! I love these workshops! Having like minded people in the room, encouraging each other, supporting each other, and sometimes even becoming friends afterwards.

It’s all about connection these days, we lack it so much now with social media in our faces.

I have 10 lovely souls coming today to dream big and feel inspired, and also offer inspiration, whether they know it or not.

We often tell ourselves that everything will feel better when...

When work settles down. When the kids are older. When we finally take that holiday. When life becomes a little less busy.

There's nothing wrong with looking forward to those moments, but I've learned that coming home to yourself doesn't always require a plane ticket or a complete change of scenery.

Sometimes it happens in the quiet moments we almost overlook.

It's taking a walk without rushing. Sitting on the back patio with a cup of tea. Watching the sunset instead of scrolling your phone. Giving yourself ten uninterrupted minutes to breathe, think or simply be.

Those small moments have a way of bringing us back to ourselves.

They remind us that underneath the noise, the responsibilities and the endless to-do lists, we're still there. We haven't disappeared. We've just been busy looking after everyone and everything else.

You don't have to travel to the other side of the world to reconnect with who you are.

Sometimes you just need to slow down long enough to hear yourself again.
