A few tricks from years of life guarding and volunteer life saving.

1. Flags move with the tide! Straight lines always look professional.

2. Quick access to equipment! strategic positioning in relation to your flags, rip and sweep! Note the board placement in front of the rack?

3. Sometimes a daisy chain on a tube can make it wearable and open hands up for radios and binoculars. As you can see with a little practice it unravels easily as you throw it to a patient.

All skills a perishable, practice is important.
Use your patrol hours wisely this summer!

☠️🐟 STONEFISH ALERT 🐟☠️

Two children have been stung by stonefish in Tallebudgera Creek.

A 12yo girl was stung last week, an 11yo girl was treated after stepping on a dead stonefish this afternoon.

Lifesavers are warning swimmers to stay away from the area.
