💚 A very big day for our family.

Yesterday Caitlin said “goodbye house” to the home she has known for 16 years and moved into her new SDA home. 🏡

There have been months of planning behind this move — bringing together her support team, routines, health information and all the little details that help the people around Caitlin understand how best to support her.

Moments like this remind me why I created My Day My Way.

Care doesn’t happen in one place or with one person. As Caitlin begins this new chapter, having her information available to the people supporting her helps create continuity, connection and peace of mind.

Yesterday, though, wasn’t about systems or planning.

It was simply about Caitlin saying goodbye to one home and hello to the next. 💚

New home. New chapter. New memories to make.

🚑💚 A shout-out to our paramedics!

For people living with disability and complex care needs, emergencies can come with a lot of information — medications, seizure or emergency plans, communication needs and those little details that families and carers know so well.

Having a paramedic who takes the time to listen, understand and see the person behind the emergency can make such a difference.

Today we’re simply saying thank you to the paramedics who bring skill, calm and compassion when families need it most. 💚

From My Day My Way® – Communication in Care, thank you for all that you do. 🚑

Peace of mind isn’t about knowing every little detail.

It’s about feeling connected. 💛

Knowing how their day is going.
Knowing the important things have been shared.
Knowing the people supporting someone you love have the information they need.

Because when you can’t always be there, real connection matters.

That’s what My Day My Way® is about — helping families and care teams stay connected through better communication.

💛 Connection in care. Peace of mind when you’re not there.

💙 Supporting someone with complex care takes more than compassion—it takes communication.

Whether you’re a family member, support worker, nurse, therapist or SIL provider, everyone needs access to the right information at the right time.

That’s why I created My Day My Way®.

As both a Behaviour Support Practitioner and the mum of an adult daughter with complex care needs, I know how frustrating it is when important information is scattered across notebooks, text messages and multiple systems.

My Day My Way brings it together in one secure place, helping care teams to:

💙 Stay connected
💙 Record what matters
💙 Improve communication across the team
💙 Support continuity of care
💙 Give families greater peace of mind

From daily care notes and medication records to behaviour observations and seizure tracking, My Day My Way helps turn plans into practice.

Because better communication leads to better care.

🌿 Resource Thursday 🌿

We’re excited to share some wonderful news.

My Day My Way® is now included on Epilepsy Queensland’s recommended assistive technology list to help families journal and track seizures. 💜

This recognition is incredibly meaningful because it has come through listening to families and working alongside professionals who understand the day-to-day realities of living with epilepsy.

A special thank you to Allie from Epilepsy Queensland for your valuable guidance and practical feedback. Your insights are helping shape the next stage of development.

✨ What’s coming next?

* Simpler guided forms
* Easy drop-down menus
* Less typing
* A more intuitive way for families to record seizure events and observations

Our goal is simple: make seizure tracking easier, less overwhelming, and more useful for families and health professionals.

Every conversation, every suggestion and every piece of feedback helps us build something better.

Thank you for being part of the journey. 💚

Participant safety must always come first.

Seeing regulatory action like this is a reminder of why good communication, accurate documentation and quality support matter every day—not just when something goes wrong.

At My Day My Way, our goal is to help families and support teams stay connected, informed and accountable through better communication.

It’s also important to acknowledge the families who may be affected by changes like this. We hope they receive the support they need during the transition.

What are your thoughts?

We have permanently banned NT Wide Support and Care Pty Ltd and Territory Care Plus Pty Ltd from delivering NDIS supports and services.

We have also banned the associated key personnel of these respective providers Ahmed Abdi Jama (also known as Faysal Mohumad Muketar), and Ali Jama.

These permanent banning orders are a result of an investigation that uncovered serious and repeated breaches of the NDIS Act.
