One simple resource. So many therapy opportunities.
Sometimes the best therapy tools are also the most fun.
This little tin of thinking putty might look like a toy, but in the hands of an Occupational Therapist, it becomes an opportunity to build so many important skills through play.
🩵 Strengthening little hands for everyday tasks like writing, cutting and dressing.
🩵 Developing visual scanning skills by searching for hidden objects.
🩵 Building attention and persistence through a motivating, hands-on activity.
🩵 Supporting regulation with calming sensory input that helps children feel ready to learn.
The best part? Children are often so engaged that they don't even realise that they're doing therapy.
It's a great reminder that therapy doesn't always need expensive equipment or complicated activities. With the right support, one simple resource can be adapted to target a wide range of goals while keeping sessions meaningful, motivating and fun.
What's your child's favourite therapy resource? We'd love to hear in the comments! 💬
