Opened in 2016 and led by Clinical Director Dr Peta Skilbeck, Intuition provides expert pregnancy, gynaecology, fertility, advanced women’s imaging, fetal medicine, paediatrics and ultrasound services in a warm, supportive environment. This page is managed 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday.

More than 10 years of care, leading to this moment. 🤍

When Holly first came to Dr Peta Skilbeck, she was a teenager who had spent years experiencing severe pain, bloating and difficult periods without feeling like she was being heard.

Dr Skilbeck listened.

Over the decade that followed, she supported Holly through a diagnosis of endometriosis and PCOS, recurring symptoms, pelvic floor physiotherapy, fertility investigations, a HyCoSy and eventually the process of choosing an IVF clinic.

Then, in a wonderful turn of events, Holly and Christopher conceived their beautiful baby naturally.

There was never really a question about who Holly wanted beside her throughout her pregnancy. This is what continuity of care can look like.

From a teenager searching for answers, through gynaecological care, fertility challenges and pregnancy, all the way to finally placing that long awaited baby in her arms.

For some mothers, breastfeeding is a wonderful experience. For others, it is incredibly difficult, and for many, it is simply not the right choice. Whatever your journey, you deserve support, not judgement.

To those who are breastfeeding, we see you. 💛

Feeding, expressing, sleepless nights and nourishing another little human with your own body is an extraordinary commitment. It is often described as a part-time job, and for good reason. Producing breast milk requires hundreds of calories each day, making it an incredible feat of both love and biology.

A hysteroscopy is a minimally invasive, 30-minute procedure that allows your gynaecologist to look inside your uterus, using a small camera called a hysteroscope.

It can help diagnose and, in many cases, treat conditions affecting the uterus, including:

✨ Abnormal or heavy bleeding
✨ Uterine polyps
✨ Fibroids
✨ Scar tissue (adhesions)
✨ Fertility concerns
✨ Thickening of the uterine lining

Unlike many imaging tests, a hysteroscopy allows your doctor to see the inside of the uterus in real time and, where appropriate, perform treatment during the same procedure, while you’re under a general anesthetic.

If you’ve been experiencing heavy or irregular bleeding or unexplained pelvic symptoms, a hysteroscopy may provide the answers you’ve been looking for.

Gestational diabetes can increase the risk of:

• A larger-than-average baby, which may make birth more complicated
• Early delivery or the need for an induced labour
• Low blood sugar levels in your baby after birth
• An increased chance of requiring a caesarean birth
• A higher risk of developing Type 2 diabetes later in life for both mother and baby

✨ 10 Years of Intuition Private. A New Look for the Next Chapter. ✨

This year, we’re celebrating a significant milestone: 10 years of caring for women and families on the Central Coast.

When Intuition Private first opened its doors, our team consisted of just six people: Dr Peta Skilbeck, Karina and Tanya, as well as our first three midwives. Fast forward a decade and we have grown into a thriving multidisciplinary clinic, with 26 dedicated professionals working under one roof.

Over the past 10 years, we’ve expanded our clinic footprint by six-fold and evolved far beyond our original offering. Today, alongside our trusted obstetric and gynaecological services, we’re proud to provide specialist paediatric care and advanced women’s ultrasound services.

One thing we’ve learnt over the past decade is that growth never stands still.

Our clinic has continually evolved to meet the changing needs of our patients, and our brand has evolved right alongside it.

With so much change occurring, particularly over the past 12 months, we knew it was time for our visual identity to reflect who we are today; a modern, polished and progressive healthcare practice that continues to put women and families at the heart of everything we do.

We’re excited to unveil our refreshed look as we enter the next chapter of the Intuition Private story.

We hope you love it as much as we do.

A heartfelt thank you to Lauren from Tomato Creative for bringing our vision to life. Her creativity, patience and talent have helped create a brand that reflects both where we’ve come from and where we’re heading.
