Day 2 of Clinical Resource Therapy training in Bali and still one massive pinch me moment!
Learning, practicing, meeting amazing other therapists, speaking to the locals, swimming in lunch breaks and evening sunsets at the beach.
Cup is absolutely overflowing!

Selamat Pagi 😍

Quick reminder I am out of office for the next few weeks!!!

Heading to Bali with Tracy Lynch Therapy Training for 8 days of Clinical Resource Therapy training that I am beyond excited to bring back to my clients!!!!!

So watch this space!

I am a huge nerd so I love learning and training but this feels extra special to be doing it in person with the opportunity to meet new people, meet people I have connected and worked with for a while in person AND just happens to be in my favourite of places.

Some random fun facts you might not know about me, I first visited Bali in 97 with my parents and as soon as I got back I started learning Bahasa Indonesia (the Indonesian language) and studied it all through high school (we even got to spend 2 weeks at an Indonesian school in Bali in year 12, well a week in school and a week recovering from the funky chickenitis!) then all throughout university too.

I am still as fascinated by the people, language (although I am quite rusty these days!) and culture over there as I was as a 12 year old girl so this all feels a bit full circle 🌸

So many different parts of me are alight right now :
- the learner/nerd part
- the Indonesian speaking part
- the traveller part
- the solo traveller part is trying hard to come out for…
- the nervous part
- the brave part
- the adventure part
- the grateful part
- the imposter part

Which is what Resource Therapy is all about - seeing ourselves and our personalities as made up of many, different parts, each with their own emotions, experiences, purposes and ways of responding.

In therapy, we work with these parts to understand what they need, resolve unhelpful emotional patterns and reconnect with your strengths and resources.

See you when I get back!

Bookings can be made online while I am away via my website but emails and messages won’t be seen until I am back x

What if we stopped seeing difficult feelings as something we need to get rid of?

Anxiety, sadness, anger, grief, fear, they’re all part of being human.

The goal isn’t to never feel uncomfortable. It’s to build the confidence and skills and belief in yourself to know that when hard feelings show up, you can meet them, move through them and come back to yourself.

You don’t have to love every feeling you have.
You just need to know you can handle it.

And sometimes, that’s where real freedom begins.

What would it be like to have a little book you can flick through, full of activities you can try and ways to support yourself when your stressed and you just can’t think of anything, let alone the tools you’re therpist tought you once or the post you screen shot and saved somewhere on your phone.

I’ve made it for you.

CALM WITHIN

Because one of the most common things I hear from clients is:

“I just need some tools and strategies to help me when I’m stressed.”

And honestly, I get it.

A big part of my work is helping clients understand and process what’s underneath their anxiety, stress and overwhelm, including how difficult or traumatic experiences can sometimes feel like they’ve become “stuck”, continuing to influence how we think, feel and respond today.

That deeper work matters.

But sometimes you just need something to help you in the moment.

When your mind is racing.
Your body is tense.
Everything feels like too much.

So here’s a collection of the main practical tools I teach my clients to help regulate, ground and manage those moments.

CALM WITHIN

Calm Within is a downloadable resource of 15 guided meditations + a 50-page resource you can come back to whenever you need a little extra support.

And until the end of September you can download it for $25 🤍🤍🤍

*** If you have enrolled in Creating Calm you already have access to this in module 8 ***

The idea of starting therapy can be really daunting and scary, I hope some of these slides put whatever parts of you are worrying at ease enough so you can start.

And if you have any questions about starting therapy feel free to ask in the comments and I’ll do my best to answer - you never know who might just have the same concerns.

You are so much more than the part of you that struggles.

There may be a part of you that feels anxious.
A part that overthinks.
A part that gets angry.
A part that shuts down.
A part that finds it hard to trust.
A part that people pleases.
A part that self sabotages.
A part that says, “I’m fine.”

But none of those parts are ALL of you.

They are PARTS of your story, often parts that have learned ways to protect you.

You are also the part that
- laughs
- loves
- hopes
- plays
- connects
- grows
- and keeps going.

You are a whole person, not a problem to be fixed.

All parts of you deserve to be seen, heard and understood.

They’re all part of your story.

They’ve all played a role in getting you here.

But you are so much more than the part of you that struggles and you don’t have to fight the parts of yourself you find difficult.

Maybe they just need a little more understanding and compassion.
