Some serious magic has been unfolding in our small group early intervention sessions ✨
There is no better feeling as a teacher than being able to step back and realise that the children don’t need you quite as much as they used to.
Our small group sessions are intentionally designed with low ratios so that educators can be right there alongside the children supporting their interactions, modelling social and communication skills, helping them navigate challenges and providing a secure base for them to explore from.
And then, all of a sudden… you start seeing them put it all into practice on their own.
A child initiates an interaction without an adult prompting them. They communicate what they need. They negotiate a problem with a peer. They invite a friend to play. They have a go at something independently.
And you realise that all those little moments of modelling, supporting, prompting and practising have started to become skills they can use for themselves.
We are so proud of the progress our little people are making on their developmental journeys and the positive peer relationships they are building 💜
