She Had Been Carrying Her Mother's Pain
o many of us are carrying emotional burdens that were never ours and this session is another example of exactly that.
This client arrived weighed down by she couldn't name. A heaviness that had been with her for as long as she could remember. Something that she had always assumed it was hers.
It wasn't.
When we connected with her Higher Self, she was taken back to a moment she was seven years old. Her mother was overwhelmed — yelling, frightened, carrying wounds she had never healed. And this seven-year-old, out of pure love... out of the instinct to help the person she loved most ... reached across and took some of it in.
Not all of it. Half.
Her mother kept half.
Here's what makes this so significant: because neither of them had the complete wound, neither could fully heal it. The burden had been split between two people for decades — each carrying enough to be affected, neither carrying enough to resolve it.
In the session, my client gave it back.
Not as rejection. As a gift.
By returning the complete wound to its true owner, she was giving her mother the opportunity to finally heal it.
As soon as she gave it back it went hot. The release was immediate.
And then suddenly — freed from cement blocks she had placed around her own feet as a child to keep herself grounded when something broke her — she did something she hadn't done in so many years.
She flew.
Not literally. But close enough.
So many of us are carrying pain that was never ours to begin with. We took it on as an act of love. We can give it back the same way.
Have I mentioned how much I love what I do?
