Friday clinic update | AveNüPlus Maclean & Grafton

We’re pleased to let our community know that AveNüPlus Maclean is now back open on Fridays!

Our Maclean clinic is located upstairs at the new Maclean Medical, providing another option for timely, accessible healthcare at the end of the week.

While we make some changes and undertake staff training, AveNüPlus Grafton will be temporarily closed on Fridays.

But our Grafton patients can still access care.

Grafton residents can call our Maclean clinic on Fridays on 5626 2044 to arrange a Telehealth appointment with the AveNüPlus team.

Our Grafton clinic will continue operating as usual on its other opening days.

These temporary Friday changes allow us to continue developing our team and strengthening the care we provide across both communities.

What’s the story behind the name AveNüPlus?

One of the questions we’re asked most often is, “Why is there an ü in your name?”

The truth is, every part of the AveNüPlus name was designed with intention.

Ave comes from Avenue, representing a pathway to healthcare. We wanted to create another avenue for people to access timely, high-quality care when they need it most.

The capital N and P aren’t accidental either. They subtly highlight that we’re a Nurse Practitioner-led model of care, recognising the advanced nursing profession that sits at the heart of everything we do.

The + (Plus) is a universal symbol for healthcare. It also represents what we strive to offer every day: more access, more innovation, more convenience, more choice and more support for our communities.

And then there’s the ü.

The two dots create something special. They can be seen as eyes, while the curve of the u forms a smile representing the reassuring smile of a nurse. It’s a reminder that even during times of illness, uncertainty or stress, compassion and kindness are just as important as clinical expertise.

The ü also sounds like “you”, because you, our patients, families and community are at the centre of every decision we make.

AveNüPlus isn’t just a name. It’s our philosophy.

Last night was one of those moments that reminds us why we took the leap.

We are incredibly proud to share that AveNüPlus has been named Outstanding New Business at the 2026 Clarence Valley Business Awards.

What started as a vision to improve access to timely healthcare has grown into something far greater than we could have imagined. Every day, we have the privilege of caring for our community, providing fast, accessible, nurse-led healthcare when people need it most.

This award belongs to our entire team. To our dedicated nurses, receptionists, support staff and everyone working behind the scenes, thank you for believing in our vision and delivering exceptional care every single day.

We are incredibly proud to share that AveNüPlus has been named a finalist for Outstanding New Business in the 2026 Clarence Valley Business Awards.

To be recognised as a finalist in our first years of operation, from a field of more than 140 nominations, is an honour we are immensely proud of.

AveNüPlus was created with one clear purpose to improve access to timely, high-quality healthcare for our community through an innovative nurse-led model of care.

Since opening our doors, we’ve had the privilege of caring for thousands of patients, reducing unnecessary emergency department presentations, providing fast access to treatment, and ensuring more people can receive the care they need, when they need it.

At Maclean Radiology, we know that every scan tells a story, and for many families, those first glimpses of a growing baby are moments they’ll cherish forever.

We’re incredibly fortunate to have Cassie as part of our team. As our dedicated sonographer, Cassie brings not only exceptional expertise but also a gentle touch, warm smile and genuine compassion to every appointment. She understands that maternity scans are about more than images, they’re about reassurance, connection and creating special memories.

We’re also excited to share the arrival of our new Bounty Bags for maternity patients. Thanks to Cassie’s thoughtful initiative, expectant mums attending our maternity ultrasound appointments will receive a complimentary Bounty Bag filled with helpful information, samples and little treats for the journey ahead.

While our new Maclean clinic is undergoing final preparations ahead of our Grand Opening, AveNüPlus remains here to support the community.

Our Grafton clinic continues to operate as normal, and telehealth appointments are available for patients who are unable to attend in person.

Whether you need same-day care, support for a minor illness or injury, prescriptions, referrals, wound care, women’s health services or general health advice, our experienced nursing team is ready to help.
