This week Healthwoods underwent a Short Notice Assessment against the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards, with the Assessors confirming that we had achieved Accreditation with zero recommendations!🎉

The results are in...Each year we survey our patients and ask them 'How likely are you to recommend our service to your friends and relatives?' with a rating going from 0 to a maximum 10.

📈 The scores are then combined and given a total 'Net Promoter Score' which can range from -100 (all patients give a score of 0-6) to +100 (all patients give a score of 9-10). An NPS score over 0 is good, above +50 is Excellent.

✅ Across 2025 our patients have given us a score of +79, recognition of the Excellent Care we provide - Love Your Work to our wonderful healthcare team! ❤

Today is Red Apple Day, the focus of Bowel Cancer Awareness Month and an opportunity to raise awareness for the need to 'Get Checked' regularly.

🍎 1,708 young people hear those four words ‘you have bowel cancer’ each year and sadly 288 young lives are cut short due to the disease annually.

🍎 Australia has the highest rates of early-onset bowel cancer in the world

🍎 Latest Australian research reveals 28,265 cases of aggressive types of early-onset bowel cancer over the past 30 years.

🍎 Incidence has increased by up to 8 percent per year. If this increase had been halted, an estimated 4,347 bowel cancers in young Australians would not have occurred.

The best way to treat Bowel Cancer is to get checked and find it early. If you are over 45 years, have a family history or are experiencing any of the common symptoms, speak to your GP.
