Behind every veterinary consultation is a person who chose this profession because they care deeply about animals and the people who love them.
Veterinarians and veterinary nurses are among the most empathetic professionals you’ll ever meet. Every day, they celebrate your happy moments, comfort you through heartbreaking decisions, and work tirelessly to give your pets the best possible care. They also carry the emotional weight of cases long after they leave work.
Unfortunately, verbal abuse, aggression, and personal attacks from clients have become an all too common part of the job.
It is NEVER acceptable. My team are my family and as the manager of this hospital, I will protect them fiercely. There is zero tolerance for abuse in our clinic.
The veterinary profession has one of the highest rates of mental health challenges and su***de. Compassion fatigue, emotional stress, and burnout are real, and abuse only adds to that burden.
We understand that when your beloved pet is sick, emotions run high. We truly do. But kindness costs nothing, and respect goes a long way.
