Today, our Pre-Kindy 2 children embraced the beauty of the natural world as they transformed treasures from our environment into beautiful works of art.

Together, the children explored our community garden, carefully collecting leaves, sticks, bark and flowers to bring back and share with their friends. As they worked side by side, they used these natural materials to create unique artworks inspired by the world around them.

We are so proud of our little artists and the meaningful connections they continue to build with the natural world. 🌱🍃💚

We are excited to announce that we have partnered with Mini Monstars Gymnastics to bring a fun and engaging gymnastics program to our Pre-Kindy children!

Through these sessions, children will have the opportunity to develop their gross motor skills, balance, coordination, strength and confidence in a safe and supportive environment. The program also encourages teamwork, listening skills, resilience and a love of being active through age-appropriate games and activities.

We are thrilled to offer this wonderful learning experience and can’t wait to see our Pre-Kindy children grow in confidence while having lots of fun with the Mini Monsters team!

Today, our Kindy Zone enjoyed a wonderful collaborative learning experience at Bush Kindy, where they worked together to make traditional damper, roast corn over the fire, and, of course, toasted marshmallows which were a huge favourite!

The children developed teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills as they prepared and cooked their food, while also building confidence and resilience through hands-on learning in the natural environment. Experiences like these foster a love for the outdoors and create lasting memories alongside meaningful learning.

Our Kindy 3 children have been busy engaging in imaginative role play within the home corner, using the kitchen area to explore real-life experiences and develop their social skills. To extend this learning, the children created their own menu pages inspired by their favourite foods.

Each child carefully drew a picture of their chosen meal, wrote a title identifying the food, and proudly added their name as the author. This experience encouraged early literacy skills through mark-making, writing and letter recognition, while also fostering creativity, communication and confidence as the children shared their ideas with their peers.

Through role play, the children developed their language, imagination and understanding of everyday routines, demonstrating that learning can be both meaningful and fun.

Our Pre Kindy 1 children enjoyed a wonderful Fresh to Plate adventure today with a visit to Woolworths to collect the ingredients they needed to make delicious homemade biscuits for afternoon tea!

Excursions like these provide meaningful, hands-on learning opportunities that help children build an understanding of where food comes from, make healthy food choices and develop important life skills. Along the way, the children practised communication, teamwork, counting, decision-making and recognised different ingredients before returning to the service to become little chefs in the kitchen.

Learning experiences like Fresh to Plate help children connect the journey from shop to table while fostering independence, confidence and a love of cooking.

Imagination came to life at Bush Kindy today as our kindergarten children packed a selection of dress-up costumes to take on their outdoor adventure.

Whether they became brave superheroes, magical princesses or created their very own unique characters, the children embraced imaginative play while exploring the natural environment. Open-ended experiences like these encourage creativity, storytelling, problem-solving, confidence and social development as children work together, negotiate roles and bring their ideas to life.

At Bush Kindy, nature becomes the perfect backdrop for endless adventures, where every stick can become a magic wand, every tree a castle, and every child the author of their own story.
