I’ve been a little absent lately for a few reasons.

1. We’re working on some exciting things this year (more on that soon 👀)
2. I’ve been navigating my own recovery for the last 5 weeks alongside mum life and business life and it’s been rough. Presenting workshops and treating while working on crutches, unplanned daycare pickups, school days off, parties, weddings, and everything in between.

Not sharing this for sympathy. Sharing it because it’s a good reminder.

Women recover differently. Women experience and report pain differently. And yet, despite everything we know, this is still largely ignored.

The way pain is assessed, treated, and believed has been built around a male default for decades (particularly in workers comp settings). Women are more likely to have their pain dismissed, undertreated, or attributed to anxiety.

That’s not okay. And it’s a big part of why this work matters to us.

So when you come to us, we make sure we see the full picture:
→ Your medical history
→ The ins and outs of your life (without assumptions)
→ Your goals
→ Work, family, and everything in between

Almost 12 months postpartum and I still don’t have a perfect routine. My fitness is also nowhere near where I thought I’d be right now.

Short workouts.
Broken sleep.
Juggling sickness, school and injuries.
That’s real life.

But progress doesn’t require perfection.

It requires showing up (even imperfectly) and getting a little support when you need it.

Almost 12 months postpartum with our littlest and in the early days, I kept feeling like something was missing.

I didn’t enjoy big group classes
(and the cost of crèche just wasn’t realistic)

I liked training on my own… but I didn’t want to always be alone

I missed adult conversation but the times just were aligning with friends.

I needed an hour a week to feel human.

And the more I spoke to other women, the more I realised, I wasn’t the only one feeling this way and it’s something that we’d always been asked about with clients.

So I created something in between

Not a big class
Not completely on your own
Just a small, supportive space where you can move your body, build confidence and connect with other women and no matter where you’re at with your exercise, you’ll fit in.

We get a lot of the same questions when women are thinking about getting back into exercise… and I get it. I've been in your shoes and not too long ago either!

It can be hard starting out when you're not sure what exercises to do, worrying about getting injured or flaring up and old injury, or managing other health concerns and wanting to make sure the person helping you has the right knowledge.

That’s exactly why we created our small women’s rehab classes — to give you the guidance, support and confidence you’ve been looking for.
