MEET PRISCILLA 🩵

Priscilla is one of our Speech Pathologists and one of the Directors here at MAHS and has been working in the disability field for more than 25 years!

Priscilla graduated from the University of Sydney in 2000 with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology).

With a passion for working in the disability field, she began her career at Griffith Community Health before moving into disability services, where she has worked since. Throughout her career, Priscilla has been fortunate to learn from some incredible mentors and undertaken valuable training within the disability sector.

Outside of work, Priscilla loves spending time with her family, growing her own food and cooking.

NDIS Pricing Update

You may have heard about recently announced updates to NDIS pricing arrangements and rules. We are currently reviewing what this means for our services, pricing, and billing structures.

There may be some changes, and we will be fully clear and transparent with you when we have reviewed the updated rules and made decisions for our business and for our clients.

This is a confusing and challenging time for businesses working with NDIS clients. The NDIA provides very little notice between releasing updates and when they take effect. In some cases, Allied Health Providers are now expected to deliver the same services but with less funding available under the capped pricing. That’s not sustainable.

We need to cover our time, costs, expertise, and energy in order to keep showing up for clients. That’s why we are taking the time to review everything properly before making any decisions about pricing. We want to make sure the path forward is thoughtful, fair, and clear.

Rochelle completed some mealtime training with Kirinari staff this week. This session focussed on modifying the texture of different foods to make sure client meals are prepared safely.
