In a training plateau? Tom explains the super-compensation curve, where he points to the importance of recovery and giving your body the right stimulus to adapt. And there is more to it than just simply training harder.

By combining progressive overload (increased duration, volume or intensity) with adequate recovery and sleep - you can break through your plateau to unimaginable heights… 🫢

Especially at Core Health Group with our fantastic Exercise Physiologists to help guide you along the way🫪

Core Health Group is evolving, and so is our team!

As you all know, Tom Squared (now is it cubed?) has been a part of the Core Health Group team for some time now, so we thought we better update the Meet Our Team post to include our two brightest young EPs (they finally passed their probation... 😅). There are also a few role changes among our OGs.

We now have 6 Accredited EP’s and a very friendly clinic manager to help you achieve your goals. What a community to be a part of 😤.

✨ OCTOBER MEMBER OF THE MONTH ✨

Jodie Young has been training with us since practically the week we opened, and she’s still one of the most reliable faces in our group classes.

Over the years she’s had a few niggles to work through and Instead of stepping back, she worked closely with our EPs here at Core Health Group and the physios at Pillar, did the rehab, and kept on training. That’s a big part of why she’s still here, still getting stronger.

Her consistency is what earned this one. She’s been in every week for years, and this past month was no different.

Thanks for being here from the start, Jodie. Keep smashing your sessions.

Today we want to show some love to our dedicated member Chris Moorex . Chris is completing ‘Remember September’ — walking 156km throughout the month, in memory of his late father, who sadly passed away from pancreatic cancer earlier this year.

Chris has already smashed through both his fundraising goal and his km goal (166km and counting!) and we are so proud of the effort he’s put in. We know how close this cause is to his heart, and we can’t wait to see how much further he can go!

Want to donate? Link’s in our bio, or copy this into your browser:

Any amount helps and goes to a great cause. ❤️
