💗 The BreastScreen NSW mobile van is still in Gundagai – have you booked your free breast screen?

These mobile screening services are incredibly important for rural communities like ours. They make it possible for women to access potentially life-saving screening close to home, without the need to travel. The more we use these services, the stronger the case for them to keep returning to communities like Gundagai.

If you're due for a breast screen, please consider booking today. It only takes a short time, but it could make a lifetime of difference.

Gundagai Medical Centre does not use HotDoc for bookings or patient communication, and we would never send emails asking you to claim prizes or rewards.

If you receive an email like the one below:
❌ Delete it immediately.
❌ Do not click any links.
❌ Do not enter your Medicare, banking or personal details.

If you’re ever unsure whether a message claiming to be from our practice is genuine, please contact us directly on our usual phone number before taking any action.

This well-deserved recognition reflects Phoebe’s dedication to rural medicine and the enthusiasm she has shown throughout her placement with our practice in 2026.

🎉Huge congratulations to 3rd-year medical student Phoebe Doohan on receiving the inaugural RACGP and RDAA bursary to support her rural placement! 🩺

Currently undertaking her placement in Gundagai, NSW, Phoebe is fully immersing herself in both local medicine and community life:

"This placement is giving me first-hand insight into the unique rewards and challenges of a career as a rural GP."

"I have also actively engaged with the community, including joining the local show jumping club, teaching children how to ride at the Gundagai Pony Club, serving as a board member of the local aged care facility, and participating in other sports including lawn bowls and tennis. Massive thanks to everyone who donated time, money and baked goods in support of our beanie day today… including our team who looked splendid in their finest winter Woolies in the spirit of the event!! Today our incredible community have managed to raise $613.75 that will go toward Kristen’s Beanies for Brain Cancer fundraising efforts!!

Special thanks to our wonderful bakers, Sharon Batt and Janni Thompson for their delicious cooking and our wonderful front desk ladies Erin and Georgina 🌟

P.S. We still have some leftover baked goods… first in best dressed tomorrow (don’t tell your doctor) 🤫
