At Focus On Function, we provide high quality and participant centered Occupational Therapy, Dietitian and Case Management services to adults with a wide range of disabilities and medical conditions. We have sites in Armidale, Tamworth and Gunnedah. We generally assess participants in their own home to focus on how their environment could be altered to enhance participation. We aim to work alongsi

de the participant, with the participant driving the direction of the services. We provide these services under the following funding bodies:
- iCare lifetime care and workers care
- NDIS (plan or self managed)
- Compulosry Third Party
- Workers Compensation

From coordinating schedules and answering phones to supporting our clinicians, solving unexpected problems and somehow keeping everything running smoothly, Jess is the calm in the middle of the chaos.

We're really excited to be bringing the Sexuality and Physical Disability Workshop to Tamworth!

Sexuality is an important part of health and wellbeing, but it's an area many clinicians tell us they don't feel confident discussing. This practical, interactive workshop is designed to change that.

Whether you work in allied health, nursing, medicine or disability services, you'll leave with practical skills and greater confidence to support the people you work with.

What you'll gain:
• Practical communication strategies using the PLISSIT model
• Real-life case discussions across inpatient, outpatient and community settings
• A clearer understanding of your role within the multidisciplinary team
• Strategies you can start using immediately in clinical practice

Looking back on a fantastic Term 2 Team Day! 💙

Our team recently came together for our Term 2 Team Day, and it's always nice to look back on the moments that make these days so valuable.

As a regional allied health and nursing service, we're often out supporting clients across many different communities. While we may not work from the same office every day, staying connected as a team is incredibly important.

Team days give us the opportunity to learn together, share knowledge, strengthen our relationships and continue improving the way we support adults living with complex injuries and their families.

Because when our team grows together, our clients benefit too.

A special thank you to Kootingal Library for providing a welcoming space for us to come together, and to the Kootingal Hotel for a fantastic lunch. We always appreciate the opportunity to support local businesses while we're out in the community.
