Sustainability is all about minimising waste and thinking green. Our Toddlers explored doing that with the foods they eat in their banana bread cooking experience. Using the fruit for the recipe and the scraps for our worm farm, the children engaged in enriching their learning as their educators worked with them on simple and easy ways we can reduce, reuse and recycle. Exercising their minds and bodies through fine motor skills such as mixing, pouring and squishing, this activity unfolded many beneficial developmental elements. Safe to say the Banana Bread went down a treat with the little Chefs.
