This is your Thursday Pause Post

A little moment for you to check in with yourself and reflect on your month so far.

How are things feeling for you right now?

Are things flowing the way you’d like them to?

Or is there an area that feels like it might need a little more attention, support, or prioritising?

Where are you feeling the most stretched lately?

Mentally?

Emotionally?

Physically?

With time?

Family?

Work?

Your health?

Sometimes we don’t realise how much we’re carrying until we pause long enough to ask.

Take a moment with this today.

Where in your life might need a little more support right now?

I’d love to hear.

Overload can quietly build over time until one day it feels like it has all hit at once, and suddenly you’re in crisis mode wondering where it even came from.

The thing is… it rarely comes out of nowhere.

For many women it has been building in the background for a long time.

We’re often so used to pushing through. Carrying on. Holding it all together. Society expects us to just keep going. Be strong. Keep functioning. Keep showing up for everyone else.

I spent years thinking there was something wrong with me, when really my nervous system was overloaded.

No wonder I didn’t feel like myself.

Nervous system overload doesn’t always look dramatic either. It can look like tiredness that rest doesn’t fix. Snapping more easily. Brain fog. Feeling flat. Anxiety. Procrastinating. Wanting space. Feeling touched out. Feeling emotional over little things.

The body communicates in so many ways.

Rather than seeing these symptoms as something wrong with us, or feeling like we need a label to explain every feeling, what if we approached ourselves with more gentleness and care?

What if instead of asking “What’s wrong with me?” we asked…

What has my body been carrying?

What is my nervous system asking for right now?

And how can I support myself through this with more compassion?

Sometimes the focus doesn’t need to be fixing.

Sometimes it begins with soothing 💙

I used to go around asking everyone for their opinion. “What do you think I should do?” would probably have been one of the most common things to come out of my mouth.

It wasn’t until one day I really stopped and thought about it. I watched someone I would often go to for advice make a decision in their own life, and I remember thinking… wow… I would never have done that.

I didn’t agree with it at all.

And then it hit me.

I had been going to this person to help me make decisions about *my* life, yet deep down I didn’t even align with how they moved through their own.

That was such a moment of insight for me. Not because they were wrong, but because it made me realise how often I had been handing my power over to someone else. Looking outside of myself for answers I already held within.

The only person with enough authority to make decisions in your life is you.

Support and guidance can be beautiful, and getting another perspective can absolutely help at times. But your voice matters too. Your feelings matter. Your knowing matters.

Learning to trust that can change everything.

Keep an eye out for part two later today… decision fatigue is real, and I’ll be sharing a little more on that this evening 💙

Mid-year check-in 💙

Man… how fast is this year going? Does it go faster when you’re busy… or is it just an age thing lol?

Either way, this feels like such a beautiful time to pause for a moment and really tune in.

What’s been feeling supportive for you lately?

What’s been helping?

What’s bringing you more calm, more ease, or helping you feel more like yourself?

And on the flip side… what feels like it might need a little attention moving forward?

I think this time of year can be such a great opportunity to do a little life inventory.

What’s working?

What do I need more of?

What feels supportive right now?

What am I ready to do a little differently over the next six months?

A reset doesn’t always mean changing everything.

Sometimes it’s simply noticing what’s already helping… and giving yourself permission for more of that.

What’s one thing that’s been genuinely helping you lately? 💙

Sunday reflection 💙
This week I’ve been talking a lot about perspective.
How often do we speak about our body… rather than with it?
Before the new week begins, take a quiet moment and ask yourself:
What has my body been asking of me lately?
What feels supportive right now?
What am I ready to do differently moving forward?
Sometimes awareness itself is where the shift begins. Thinking back to my Wayne Dyer quote post at the start of the week -
"When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change."

This week I’ve been speaking a lot about listening to the body.
And for women moving through peri-menopause or menopause, the body can feel louder than ever.

Symptoms shifting.
Sleep changing.
Energy changing.
Mood changing.
Hormones changing.

And sometimes it can feel confusing, frustrating, or overwhelming.
But what if the body isn’t turning against you?

What if it’s asking for something different?

That’s exactly what we’ll be exploring together in my Zoom workshop this Saturday afternoon.

THE EVOLUTION OF WOMAN

A gentle conversation around women’s bodies, symptoms, nervous system support, and understanding what your body may be asking for during this season.

I’d love to have you there.
