Sheepvention Rural Expo is always a highlight on the Community Connections calendar each year, it never disappoints! 🐑
Yesterday our participants and staff headed over to the Hamilton Showgrounds and had a wonderful time soaking up everything the Western District agricultural world has to offer. 🌾🧡

From patting animals at the petting zoo, to sampling all the delicious food on offer, collecting showbags and goodies, and taking in the Fashion Show, we were reminded just how rich and vibrant our region is.

A huge thank you to the organisers for putting on such a brilliant event. You make it easy for us to show our participants the very best of what the Western District has to offer. We're already looking forward to next year! 🌾

Who says Christmas only comes once a year? 🎄🎅

Today we dusted off the decorations, cranked up the Christmas classics and celebrated the most wonderful time of the year, July edition! ❄️🎶

The Green Room was transformed into a proper winter wonderland, the Christmas jumpers were out in full force, and our participants and staff threw themselves into a day packed with festive fun. From decorating Christmas crowns and making their very own bon-bons, to a delicious BBQ lunch of sausages and hamburgers fresh off the grill, rounded off with a beautiful trifle.

Good food, great company and plenty of Christmas cheer in the middle of July.🧡

Today Mulleraterong went full rock star 😎🎸🤘
From favourite band tees and rock star insignia to full-on rockstar transformations, our participants and staff absolutely delivered on the brief today for National Day of Rock 'n' Roll Dress Up. The fits were immaculate, the energy was electric, and the vibes were nothing short of legendary.

And if the incredible costumes weren't enough, we were treated an amazing performance from our Rock 'n' Roll dancers, who didn't just wow us with their moves but got our participants up on their feet and learning to dance too! 💃🕺
The Green Room became a dance floor and nobody was sitting still for long!

A reminder that Mulleraterong Centre will be closed from today, Monday 29 June to Friday 3 July for our winter break.

We hope this mid-year pause brings a chance to rest, recharge and reset for everyone - participants, families, carers and staff alike. Stay warm, stay safe, and make the most of this well-earned break!

We look forward to welcoming everyone back through our doors on Monday 6 July refreshed and ready for what is going to be a fantastic second half of the year.

June has served up some wonderful evenings out as part of our Community Connections program 🍽️

First up, Coral and Duncan joined Kim and Ash for a great night out at the Grand Central Hotel . Then to wrap up the month, Neil and Francis headed out with Dylan for a yummy dinner at Alexandra House Sports Club.

Our Community Connections dinner outings are one of those programs that perfectly capture what Mulleraterong is all about. Getting out, being part of the community, enjoying a great meal at a favourite local venue, and simply having a good time in great company.

Whether it's choosing from the menu, handling the evening independently, or just enjoying a relaxed night out with friends, these outings are about much more than food. They help build about confidence, connection, and a feeling for our participants of being an active and valued part of the Hamilton community. 🙌

Well done to our participants for a wonderful month of dining out, and a big thank you to Dylan, Kim and Ash for your support this month.
