Meet Zihan Wang, AHPRA-registered acupuncturist with a special interest in facial acupuncture, integrated facial therapy and beauty therapy.

Zihan brings together Traditional Chinese Medicine, remedial massage and professional beauty therapy to support patients seeking a holistic approach to facial wellbeing, skin-related concerns and whole-person care.

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of hosting leaders from Wakunaga in Japan and the USA at NIIM.

Our relationship with Wakunaga goes back many years, with NIIM having conducted a number of clinical trials investigating Kyolic Aged Garlic Extract and its potential health benefits.

It was an exceptional day of discussion, sharing insights and exploring emerging research in this fascinating field of integrative medicine.

We valued the opportunity to deepen our understanding of aged garlic extract and its potential role in supporting health, while continuing to build a strong foundation for future research and collaboration.

We're recruiting for our new research study.
NIIM's Research Department are conducting a study on 'The Effect of Red Light on Cognition and Motor Symptoms in Alzheimer's and Parkinson's Disease' and are currently recruiting participants.
This 12-month study aims to examine the effect of twice-daily red light therapy using a red light helmet on cognition and motor symptoms in people who have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease or Parkinson’s disease.

Red light therapy is an emerging, non-invasive treatment that may improve cognitive function and/or motor symptoms associated with these diseases.

Eligibility:
- 55+ years old
- Diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease or Parkinson’s disease
- Fluent in English
- Normal or corrected to normal vision
