Shannon regularly goes above and beyond by accommodating special dietary requirements, listening to resident feedback, and creating enjoyable dining experiences that enhance quality of life.

Weekly Wrap
What a wonderful week it has been! Everyone is still on a high after our fantastic Country Night — it certainly left us with plenty of happy memories and smiles to carry into the week.
This week was a little quieter, giving everyone the chance to enjoy some relaxing and creative activities. We had fun with button art and card making, getting creative and making some beautiful pieces along the way.
Our cooking session was a real treat, with our chef helping us make delicious coconut jam drops. The kitchen smelled amazing, and of course, the best part was enjoying the finished treats!
We also enjoyed a lovely High Tea, taking some time to sit back, enjoy good company and indulge in some delicious goodies.
And, as always, we finished the week on a high with our Friday Groove — plenty of music, dancing and happy faces to send us into the weekend!
Another lovely week filled with creativity, connection, good food and plenty of smiles.

What a fantastic night we had at our Country & Western Night!

The music was playing, the line dancers were stepping out, and there were plenty of smiles, laughter and good times throughout the evening. It was wonderful to see everyone getting into the spirit of the night and enjoying the country atmosphere.

A big thank you to our fantastic line dancers for putting on a great show and helping make the night so much fun. There was plenty of toe-tapping, dancing and a whole lot of country spirit!

Thank you to everyone who came along and made it such a memorable evening. We hope you had as much fun as we did! 🤠💃🕺🎵

After an incredible 19 years at Holmwood, it’s time to celebrate Anne as she begins a well-deserved new chapter.

Throughout her many years at Holmwood, Anne has been a valued and much-loved member of the team. Her commitment, warmth, experience and willingness to help others have made a lasting contribution to the workplace and to the people around her.
Nineteen years is an amazing achievement, and over that time Anne has been part of countless memories, changes and milestones.
Anne, thank you for all your hard work, dedication and friendship over the past 19 years. Your contribution has been greatly appreciated, and you will certainly be missed.
We hope retirement brings you plenty of time to relax, enjoy the things you love, make new memories and perhaps enjoy a few well-earned adventures along the way.

The Week That Was at Holmwood!
What a wonderful week of fun, friendship, food and adventure at Holmwood!
🚌 Bus Trip & Morning Melodies – A lovely outing filled with music, laughter and great company.
🧁 Baking with the Chef – Our residents got busy in the kitchen baking delicious homemade scones. There’s nothing quite like the smell of freshly baked treats!
💰 Who Wants to Be a Millionaire – Holmwood Hot Seat Edition! – The competition was on, with plenty of tricky questions, laughs and some very impressive knowledge on display!
🇮🇪 Armchair Travels: Ireland – We travelled to the Emerald Isle without leaving Holmwood! Residents enjoyed discovering Ireland’s sights, stories and culture, followed by a very special Irish-inspired lunch. ☘️
Breakfast Buffet – We finished the week in delicious style with a breakfast buffet featuring everyone’s favourite… French toast!
Fun with Abi- We had another wonderful visit with our fun friend ABI the robot!
Another week full of moments to enjoy, memories to make and plenty of reasons to smile.

Today, we're celebrating the incredible people who make Holmwood feel like home.

Every day, our residents are supported, encouraged, comforted and cared for by a team of compassionate individuals who go above and beyond.
Whether it's sharing a laugh over morning tea, providing expert clinical care, preparing delicious meals, maintaining our beautiful home, organising meaningful activities, or simply taking the time to listen, every team member plays an important role in enriching the lives of those who call Holmwood home.

To say thank you, we gathered together to enjoy a BBQ lunch—a small token of our appreciation for the dedication, kindness and teamwork shown each and every day.

To our nurses, carers, hospitality, lifestyle, administration, maintenance, laundry, cleaning and kitchen teams... thank you for the care you give, the smiles you share, and the difference you make. Your commitment creates a place where residents feel valued, respected and truly at home.
Happy Aged Care Employee Day to our amazing team. We are grateful for everything you do and proud to celebrate you today. 💙

Our kitchen keep raising the bar with our special breakfasts!
Last week we had a house-prepared waffles with all the trimmings.
Today’s special:
Smoked Salmon, dill, & avocado bagels with bacon, roasted mushrooms and grilled tomatoes.

Happy Friday!
Residents at Holmwood Aged Care had a full week- from carvery luncheons, to poetry, chef-led cooking classes to some physical comedy fun with our new granny-pants game, Beanbag toss, art and colouring and a delicious waffle breakfast to round out the week.

Everyday our team strive to bring something new, put smiles on faces, and share meaningful moments together!

Looking forward to a new week of activities, events and fun, last week was a blast for our residents at Holmwood Aged Care.

We had a live performance from a local ukulele troupe, our new high tea wvebt was a hit, as was our second new special breakfast (check out the menu below 👇) We also fit in our residents meeting and food focus group.
We finished out the week with Happy Hour 🍻 but not before fitting in knitting, news group, exercise, bingo, and another special guest visit with Abi 🤖
