Yarra Valley Clinic is looking for a practice nurse 🩺

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Practice Nurse to join our friendly and supportive general practice team to cover a maternity position with potential of ongoing employment.

About the Role
The successful applicant will be involved in a range of nursing duties, including:

* Chronic disease management
* Health assessments and care plans
* Immunisations and vaccinations
* Wound care and dressings
* Assisting with minor procedures
* Patient education and health promotion
* Maintaining accurate clinical records

About You

* Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
* Experience in general practice nursing preferred
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Commitment to providing high-quality patient care

New GP commencing

Dr Andrew Coker is an experienced GP with an interest in diabetes management, preventative heath, men’s health, allergy and skin conditions.

He graduated from the University of Melbourne and undertook his hospital training with Monash Health. He completed his GP specialist training in Melbourne and worked for many years in medical practices throughout Melbourne and Gippsland.
For the past 6 years, before moving to Healesville, he worked in general practice in Townsville, North Queensland, where he also gained extensive experience with Veteran’s healthcare and with Indigenous health.

When he is not working, Dr Andrew enjoys watching his footy team, the Saints, swimming, cycling, and spending time with his family.
Dr Andrew is a GP that provides a welcoming environment for all patients and is looking forward to contributing to the healthcare of the Yarra Valley community.
