🌟 Incredible 15-minute response! Huge thank you to our councillor Claire Rex and Maroondah Council!

Want to share some amazing positive news about our community safety! 🌲🚶‍♂️
Recently, we noticed a dangerous sunken hazard on the footpath outside 134 Canterbury Road, Heathmont, which had unfortunately caused a couple of residents to trip.
Last Thursday, we emailed Maroondah Council and copied in our Jubilee Ward Councillor, Claire Rex. To our absolute surprise, Claire replied in less than 15 minutes, promising to look into it the next day!
True to her word, she personally came down last Friday (29/05) to inspect the site. We were so touched by her genuine care and prompt action. By Monday, Maroondah Council’s maintenance crew was already on site, taking photos and completely resurfacing the pathway to make it safe.
Seeing a local representative move this fast to protect our elderly residents and community is just incredible. Thank you so much, Claire, and thank you to the efficient Council crew for keeping Heathmont safe for everyone!
