FAILURE IS INEVITABLE (& so is success)
When beginning something new, failure is inevitable... The real question is, what are you going to do about it?
Most people avoid putting themselves in situations where they might fail. Or they try once or twice and then tell themselves, "See, I tried and nothing works!"
That’s certainly one way to go about it, but it wont get you where you want to go.
What would be a better approach?
When you do fail, accept it, don't pretend it didn't happen. Admit that it was one very possible outcome. Remember, failing just means you haven't mastered it yet, it's not a reflection on your worth.
Next, ask what went wrong. Could you have prepared better? Executed differently? Sometimes you give your best at that time and that’s good enough! Next time, you’ll do even better.
Then, try again! Make statistics work for you. The more you try, the more likely you are to succeed. If at first your odds of success are 1%, then do it 100 times!
Persistence in the face of failure leads to eventual success.
My hubby's favourite quote around failure is, "I have not failed 10,000 times—I’ve successfully found 10,000 ways that will not work." - Thomas Edison
Tell me, how many times have you failed at something? And are you a success now? 👇
