MENTAL HEALTH AND DUTY OF CARE
In certain circumstances, if a post raises concerns about a person’s safety, we may try to arrange for a health provider to contact you to check that you and/or others are safe. If there are significant concerns, we may need to pass on your contact information to authorities who can help protect you and/or others, such as “AccessLine” or the police. Our preferred way to do this would be to support you to seek help. We are obliged to try to protect you and/or others if the information you submit tells us that:
• you are being seriously hurt by someone else
• you are thinking of seriously harming yourself, and
• someone else is being, is likely to be, seriously hurt by you or another person. Please note that the Henty LHAC recognises that sometimes people need immediate help and support. This page cannot provide you with specific counselling, crisis services or support. If you need immediate assistance please call “AccessLine” on 1800 800 944. If your health need is not urgent please see your local GP or call healthdirect to talk to a Registered Nurse on 1800 022 222 (24 hours). Henty LHAC can take no responsibility for comments on our page, or any interactions fans may have on or off our page. Thank you for your courtesy and cooperation. COMPLAINTS PROCESS
Henty LHAC is a conduit for the community to voice their opinions and concerns. Every effort will be made to raise any concerns with the appropriate health authority or provider. We do ask that people do make an effort to complaint directly to the service provider in the first instance to allow the provider the opportunity to remedy and respond to their concern. Please note: The page is not monitored 24/7.

⏰FYI- National Alarm: 27 July at 2pm AEST

For women and children experiencing domestic violence – if you have a hidden safe phone, we recommend turning it OFF, giving it to a safe person, or switching it to airplane mode on July 27th at 12pm.

A new Australian national warning system (called the AusAlert test) will send a safety alarm to all phones at this time, even if the volume is turned down, or it’s on silent / do not disturb.

Share this message & stay safe. 🧡
