Over the past week our Physio Practice Leader Jacob played Rugby and worked as a Physio in the Phuket 11’s Rugby tournament Thailand. It was a great opportunity to use his skills in a different environment in addition to raising money for underprivileged kids. His team “The Late Knights” won the Over 35’s division and finished 3rd in the Over 45’s division. He’s back in the clinic and available for appointments as of Mon 15th June.

At Sports & Spinal, our purpose is to inspire, engage and empower everyone on their journey of health and wellbeing - including advocating for fair and equitable access to healthcare.

Exercise physiology is a recognised and essential part of Australia’s health system, supported through Medicare, DVA, the NDIS and private health funds. Yet it is still subject to GST. This means people managing conditions like diabetes, heart disease, obesity and mental health challenges are paying extra for care that helps them live better, healthier lives.

We don’t think that’s right, which is why we’re supporting Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA) in their campaign to remove GST from exercise physiology services.

Our team are calling on our community to support Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA)'s petition to reach 50,000 signatures.

All three teams brought their best efforts when it came to the race but also their costumes!
