In the meanwhile still reading the benefits of PEMF!!

A few years ago, hardly anyone had heard of Red Light Therapy. I’ve been using it in my treatment room for over 3½ years, and now suddenly everyone is talking about its benefits.

I think PEMF is heading the same way.

This video explains PEMF brilliantly and how it can support pain relief, inflammation, recovery and the body’s natural healing processes.

PEMF isn’t a miracle one-session fix. The benefits can build with regular use.

So why wait a few years until everyone is talking about it? Get ahead of the curve and discover PEMF now.

I’ve been offering red light therapy for over two years now, and it’s really exciting to see how awareness is growing. People are embracing it at home, which is fantastic, but it’s also becoming a highlight of my massage treatments. Red light during a massage really enhances relaxation and recovery. I know some are still unsure, so I’d love to share more. In fact, to celebrate this growing interest, I’m offering a special: a full massage plus red light therapy for just $140. That’s a fantastic value, especially since a solo massage is usually $110. If you’re curious, just get in touch—I’d be happy to answer any questions.

Quite a few of my clients ask me about buying a red light therapy device for home use.

I’ve come across this one and, from what I’ve seen, it looks like it has some really good features, so I thought it was worth sharing.

Just to be clear, I’m not affiliated with the company in any way. This isn’t a sponsored post, I don’t receive any commission, and I haven’t personally used this particular device. I’m simply sharing it as an option that may be worth considering if you’re doing your own research.

If anyone has experience with this device, I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments

Could light really help your body heal?

For thousands of years, light has been used as a symbol of healing and renewal. From ancient practices to modern science, we’ve always been fascinated by the connection between light and wellbeing.

Today, red light therapy (also known as photobiomodulation) is bringing that idea into the world of health, recovery and skin care.

So how does it work?

Red and near-infrared light can pe*****te the body and interact with our cells, particularly the mitochondria, which are often called the “powerhouses” of our cells. This process helps support cellular energy production, which may assist the body’s natural repair processes.

Research has shown promising results for areas such as:

• Supporting skin health and collagen production
• Reducing the appearance of fine lines and improving skin texture
• Helping with muscle recovery after exercise
• Supporting circulation and reducing inflammation
• Assisting with aches, stiffness and some types of pain

Red light and near-infrared light work at different depths. Red light is often used for more surface-level concerns such as skin, while near-infrared light can reach deeper tissues, making it a popular choice for muscles, joints and recovery.

The exciting thing is that red light therapy is non-invasive, gentle and can be used alongside treatments such as remedial massage, helping support your body’s own healing processes.

At Relax Body Remedial Massage, I combine hands-on therapies with modern recovery tools to help you feel your best, whether your goal is relaxation, pain relief, muscle recovery or supporting your overall wellbeing.

Your body has an incredible ability to repair and restore. Sometimes it just needs the right support.

Ask me how red light therapy may complement your treatment.

Hi everyone 😊

Just a reminder that I will be away in the UK for all of June and will be returning to work in July.

I am already fully booked until the week commencing 14th July, however I still have quite a few appointments available from that week onward.

If you would like to secure an appointment, please message me before I leave on Monday, as I will be changing my SIM card while overseas and won’t be contactable during that time.

Thank you all for your continued support and I look forward to seeing you when I return 😊

What an incredible weekend in Brisbane on the 9th, 10th & 11th.

I spent a beautiful evening catching up with my Bribie friend Jo down at Howard Smith Wharves under the Story Bridge — great music, pizza, drinks and one of those perfect Brisbane nights you don’t forget.

I also completed my Counselling Diploma Practical Assessment 3. I was picked up on a few things that need tweaking, which is completely understandable — I’m still learning and growing in this field. But I passed nonetheless! That’s now 3 practicals completed and 7 units passed.

Still a long road ahead with another 7 practical assessments and around 12–13 units to complete. Studying while working full-time will probably mean another 2–3 years of dedication, but I’m committed to the journey because I genuinely love learning and expanding my skills.

Another highlight of the weekend was attending yet another myofascial course to add to my collection of hands-on manipulation techniques as a remedial massage therapist.

I trained with the amazing Jack William in Fascial Manipulation — a fascinating system that explores the body’s interconnected myofascial and kinetic chains.

What really stood out to me was learning how an old injury, like a twisted ankle from years ago, can create fascial twisting and tension patterns that slowly travel through the body over time — affecting the knees, hips, lower back, shoulders and even the neck. The body compensates constantly, and those restrictions can slowly pull and “strangle” movement and muscle function along the kinetic chains.

Sometimes a person presents with shoulder pain, but the true driver may actually sit somewhere completely different within the vertical, horizontal or diagonal fascial planes wrapping through the body.

Understanding these connections truly is detective work. It’s about following the body’s story, understanding compensation patterns, and treating the areas that are actually driving dysfunction — not just where the pain appears.

The human body never stops amazing me, and I’m grateful I still have the passion to keep learning.
