💛 Somewhere along the way, many caregivers stop recognising themselves outside of the role they hold for everyone else.

Between appointments, school drop-offs, emotional support, routines, responsibilities, and simply trying to “keep it all together” — it can become easy to lose connection with the person behind the caregiver.

But your needs, identity, joy, and wellbeing matter too 🌿

In our latest blog, we explore the importance of reconnecting with yourself beyond caregiving, why this can feel so difficult, and gentle ways to begin rediscovering the parts of you that may have been placed on hold.

✨ Because caring for yourself is not selfish — it’s an important part of sustaining care for others.

While triggers activate our fight-or-flight response🤯😵‍💫, glimmers do the opposite💞💖.

They are tiny moments of connection or beauty that signal safety to our nervous system, helping to lower stress and bring us back to a state of calm.

We love capturing the glimmers around us, like this view at our Moorabbin clinic. The warmth of the sunshine on these plants is a visual cue for relaxation. Experiencing this with our own eyes reminds us of the healing power of micro-moments. 💚🍀🏵 (glimmers)

Next time you are at the clinic, take a moment to look around and find your glimmer.

🌟 NEW BLOG POST: Name It to Tame It – Why Helping Kids Name Their Feelings Really Matters

Big emotions are a part of growing up, and many children struggle to understand what they’re feeling or why. Instead of trying to make the feelings disappear, there’s something powerful parents can do: help children put words to those emotions. 🧠❤️

When we help our kids name what they’re feeling — whether it’s frustration, sadness, disappointment, or excitement — we give them the tools to understand themselves better. This simple practice can reduce overwhelm, strengthen emotional regulation, and build emotional intelligence that lasts a lifetime. 🪴

In our latest blog, we explore:
✨ What “Name It to Tame It” really means
✨ Why it helps calm big feelings
✨ How naming emotions supports connection and learning

Helping your child find the words for their emotions isn’t about controlling how they feel — it’s about giving them confidence, clarity and resilience. ✨
