We also host free community seminars throughout the year, empowering families, educators, and support staff with knowledge and practical strategies. Whether you're looking for support for a toddler with delayed speech, a teen with social communication needs, or an adult in a day option setting—we’re here to help. No referral is needed to access our services—self-referrals are welcome, and we support a wide range of funding options including NDIS (self, plan, and agency-managed participants), private health, Medicare, and fee-for-service. To keep therapy affordable and accessible, we also offer services delivered by Allied Health Assistants under the supervision of our experienced and highly skilled team of Speech Pathologists. Let’s work together to build confident communicators and support mealtime success—wherever you are on your journey.

Big Feelings Need Big Communication

Children aren’t born knowing words like:
- disappointed
- worried
- frustrated
- overwhelmed
- embarrassed
- excited

They learn these words through everyday conversations and through play.
When we use pretend play and puppets in daily routines, we give children a safe, fun way to practise emotional language before they need it in real-life moments.
A puppet can say, “I feel frustrated because my tower fell,” or “I’m excited for my turn!”
As children act out stories and name how their puppets feel, they build the vocabulary to express their own big feelings with words instead of behaviour alone.
The more emotional language children hear and use in play, the more confident they become in communicating when it really counts.

🗣️ Speech Pathology Week 2026 💬
This year’s theme, Communication creates possibility, reflects what speech pathologists see every day in practice. When communication and swallowing needs are supported, people have more opportunities to connect, learn, make choices, participate and thrive.

Speech Pathology Week recognises the value and impact of speech pathology across Australia. In 2026, we’re highlighting how the right support can create opportunities for people to connect, learn, make choices, participate and thrive.

At All Adelaide Speech Pathology, we believe that everyone deserves to be heard, understood, and supported to communicate in ways that work for them. From supporting early communication and language development, to speech literacy, social communication, and AAC, our team works alongside individuals and families to build skills, confidence, and connection. 💚

🤍 Communication Changes Everything 🤍

We’re incredibly proud to share that our Director, Lucy Germein, received a High Commendation at the Women in the West Awards, recognised amongst 50 outstanding finalists.

It’s an honour that reflects not just one person’s journey, but the incredible team, families and community who have been part of All Adelaide Speech Pathology’s story.

In July 2020, Lucy started AASP as a sole trader, working alone from a small office in Athol Park.
Today, we’re privileged to support people of all ages from our purpose-built clinic, alongside a team of 9 therapists and 5 administration staff who share one vision.

This recognition reminds us why we started—and why we continue to grow. We’re not simply helping people say words more clearly. We’re helping people connect, belong, participate and live the life they want.

Thank you to every family, client, referrer and supporter who has trusted us to be part of your journey. Here’s to changing even more lives, one conversation at a time. 💙

Communication Changes Everything.
It’s the little moments we often take for granted...

💛 Telling Grandma about your day.
🍦 Ordering your own ice cream.
🎈 Joining in at a birthday party.
🤝 Making your first real friend.
🏃 “Mum, watch this!”
😂 Arguing with your brother.
📖 Reading your favourite bedtime story.
❤️ Asking someone on a date.
💼 Walking into your first job interview.

Communication is more than words. It’s connection, confidence, independence and belonging.
That’s why we do what we do.

Helping little voices and growing smiles ✨
We support children with speech and swallowing difficulties related to tongue ties and tongue thrust swallowing through gentle, child-led therapy.

Using play, connection, and lots of modeling, we create a fun and non-intrusive environment where kids can build confidence and develop lifelong skills.

📣 Fun Fact 📣
Did you know that most people swallow between 500–700 times every day? 👄

Swallowing is something we rarely think about, but it’s a complex process involving muscles and nerves working together to help us eat, drink, and manage saliva safely.

That’s why dysphagia (swallowing difficulties) is a special interest area of our speech pathologists, Davina and Julie, who are passionate about helping people swallow safely and confidently.

Therapy is never just about one child, it’s about the whole family 💚
We believe the best progress happens when children feel supported by the people who know and love them most. That’s why we welcome siblings, parents, grandparents, and carers into our sessions whenever possible.

Siblings can be the best role models, biggest cheerleaders, and most motivating little helpers ✨ Through play, connection, and everyday interactions, we help build confidence not only in our kids, but in the adults supporting them too.
